I placed an order w/ a vendor in China (not on this site) a month ago No money transferred. It's been a month w/ no answer. No biggy.

I placed an order w/ Andy Pep yesterday about 3 am. It's been 24 hrs w/out a response. No money transferred yet.

Am I just being impatient? Unreasonable? I've bought from Grey and Amino Annex w/ quick customer response. Has the entire f'ing country of China blackballed me?

This is my first time to order from China w/ crypto so maybe I'm just inexperienced on the process.

It's Chinese New Year Holiday over there which explains Andy's silence. Doesn't explain the one from December.

You didn’t mention the method or contact context for either failed order. DC/TG PM, WhatsApp, email ? Did you initiate or was this a reply to a PM? Lastly, who was vendor? Someone here would undoubtedly have experience with just about any CN vendor to advise.

When the dust from the CNY holiday settles, wait until maybe the 26th or 27th before trying again. (Vendor reps will be clearing hundreds of accumulated messages.) As this is your first time, I would do a small test crypto payment and get confirmation on that before paying the balance.

If you try again and still don’t get any response, move on! There’s dozens of hungry and greedy reps awaiting your crypto transfer.

Not paying means no order was placed. The vendor probably moved on to paying customers.

Vendors—Chinese or otherwise—are not shy about accepting payment. As hard as this might be to believe, people in other parts of the world have lives, families, responsibilities, holidays, weekends, a need for food and sleep, etc. too, so sometimes their response timing is simply not going to match your expectations.

Yes, you pissed off all of China.

I'd love to pay if I could get a price. They also instructed me on how to test it first.

I've never heard of this. Are you sure you're in touch with an actual vendor and not an impersonator?

Presuming not, based on the countless people they do business with every day, I have to wonder if there is something about your communications with them that is giving them the impression that you're not a serious buyer.

When I get back this afternoon I will cut and paste the conversation. If I did something "funny" you can point it out for me. Thanks.

So if its 10pm or 1am you may get a response in 10 minutes otherwise expect 12hrs or even 24 with total amount and btc address. Pay it and screenshot the payment and send it back. Theyll say their gonna verify payment and after 2 or 4 business days theyll email you a photo of ur order (some vendors) with tracking. They want you to get right to the point and not have a conversation for 1 sale.
I would add one more step, if you are sending crypto first time to new wallet, tell them you want to send $1 or $10 (depending on minimum transaction) to make sure you got it right. After they confirm that they received, then send the rest

Good point i could eventually get over losing 250, but 1500 i would be a miserable bastard for 6 months. Also theyre very happy to help when ur ready to pay but sometimes after you send proof of payment they disappear for 3 days.... just happened to me, she said were not taking btc now, send usdc on etherium network. Sent it and asked are we good? No response for 3.5 days then got "of course dear heres ur tracking"

I'm exactly in that situation. Waiting for email after sending the rest of usdt, after test $5. Been 3 full days.

Yes. That's what I told them I would do. I've seen this enough times on this site that it's embedded in my brain.

I Emailed and said im not in a rush for shipment, i want you to acknowledge payment.... (first time converting btc to usdc on another network and had no idea if it worked, but didnt tell them that)

3 full business days? I mean payment being acknowledged cuz for international tracking it could take a week or more. An order made friday night may take till wednesday night. Also check spam folder. Maybe try an email fashioned like mine saying u just wanna ensure they got paid.... if its not resolved i have posted directly on the vendor thread. Saying i sent 2 emails over the last week and no response WHATS UP?

Keep us posted, theres folks that will post on their vendor thread. "Wanted to place an order but we have members in limbo right now, not getting responded too." There was a member they were dicking him around for a reship after 40 days.... soon as we went public, its resolved.... just dont jump the gun or we all look like fools.
Dm me with vendor and specifics if ya like. Also, all the vendors are on 2 week holiday. Even though us and canadian warehouses are still operating, even they may take a few days off.... send a 2nd email and give it another 3 days imo. But if u ordered china u wont hear anything till 1st week of march.

Got my tracking number. I wasn't worried, I know the vendor, GYC. They have been around for a while. Just sharing the way thing are, sometimes it takes them 3 days to answer. They must be busy. As you said, no rush, but would be nice to know that they received the crypto.
