So I just completed my second week on HGH at 2 IU daily, and overall things have been going really well. Sleep has improved noticeably, recovery feels much better, and this week I even started doing two-a-days — strength training in the mornings and Zone 2 walking in the evenings.

Nutrition-wise, I’m eating in about a 500 calorie deficit and keeping things pretty dialed in:
Protein >150g
Fat <95g
Carbs <25g

One thing I’ve noticed, though, is that my weight has gone up about 5 lbs over the past couple of weeks. I’m assuming the HGH is causing some water retention because despite the scale increase, my clothes are fitting noticeably looser and I’m definitely getting stronger.

Has anyone else experienced this? It’s been a little strange mentally after consistently watching the scale trend downward for so long.

That said, I’m only about 15 lbs from maintenance and goal weight, and my bigger focus now is getting down to around 12–15% body fat rather than chasing a specific number on the scale.

Current stack:
Ret 14mg weekly (7mg Monday & Friday)
HGH 2 IU daily

I recently stopped Tirz after finishing my vial because I wanted to spend some time researching and experimenting with a Ret + HGH stack as I move into the final phase of this journey.

Your stated goal and chosen regimen seem at odds, imho.

I've been on a very similar course as you. HGH definitely makes you hold water, but remember that water is also in your muscles and that means you can train harder. You could up the HGH once you get the details dialed in. 4-5 iu on a steep deficit can be a godsend. Crazy high reta dose tho, yer a freakin tank dude, but you do you.

If your weight doesn't start moving down after 3 or 4 weeks of GH, you need to reassess your calories and deficit.

I have been thinking about trying KLOW just to recover between workouts while on a deficit. No idea if that's a good reason to do it, but I love science.

For some reason I never got any fluid retention from 1.5iu hgh, despite finding it raised my IGF-1 to miles over normal, and had to drop the dose to 0.8iu. 58yo male.
It did seem to cause more waist circumference reduction, before hgh weight went down 8 kg with 4 cm wc, after hgh wc went down 6cm with 5kg weight loss.
If it is causing fluid retention, you might need to watch out for things like carpal tunnel, and I assume you plan on checking IGF-1 and blood sugars, although on that dose of reta, it is not too likely they would be high.
Otherwise it sounds like it is doing exactly what is expected, less visceral fat and fluid retention.

Good point about muscles holding water. My training capacity has definitely increased, and I'm enjoying workout days more than dreading them.

I'll give it another couple of weeks. I'm 5'10'' and weight has gone up 173 > 178 over the past couple of week, but stabilized over the last three days.

How long did it take for you to realize reduction in weight?

Thanks for the info. Not feeling any sides at all, but will keep an eye on the carpal tunnel.

Ive been running HGH for a little over a month now, im pleased to see you're seeing similar results.

Its great, all in honesty. Ive been consistent in a circa 700 calorie deficit and, like you, ive noticed better lifts. My watch also does electrical impedence and ive been keeping an eye on that too. I accept that method of tracking isnt 100% accurate but trends are the thing to watch out for.

Ive not lost a massive amount of weight, but a lot has been water retention (Im at the other end of it now and its tailing off). However, ive gained almost 1kg of muscle and lost a significant amount of fat. Bare in mind, these are 'newbie gains' figures and ive been lifting over 3 years consistently now.

Aside from really dialing in my nutrition (I was under eating before!) the only change is HGH. Im still running Reta, for the benefits that gives but also the insulin aspect when running HGH.

Hope it continues to work for you. Ive been posting updates on another thread on here, for people to refer to when they're doing their own research.
