Tirz twice a week ?

Does anyone take Tirz twice a week? I mean, splitting the weekly dose between two days—one at the beginning and one at the end of the week?

Wouldn’t splitting the dose one at the beginning and one at the end of the week be the same day? 🤣

Plenty of folks in the forum pin 2X per week, more likely on day 3 and day 7 or something like that. They call this split dosing and you end up with more level drug concentrations. Some say it helps keep food noise away more consistently and helps to minimize sides.

I’ve never split my dose, because early on I think I read something that it was less effective, but I don’t know if that is necessarily true. But it kind of stuck with me like an urban legend. I pin weekly just for convenience.

One of the people I help with gray (a young MD) does this. He's struggling with the reduced appetite suppression on day 5 - 7. Supposedly helps with the food noise, and also reduces side effects. He gets GERD on 1x/wk dosing. He says it's working. He is losing extremely slowly, like 1lb/wk.

I initially tried this 2x/wk dosing due to side effects (tinnitus, prickly skin sensation, GERD), but quickly switched to Cagrilintide .5mg mid-week instead. And even more recently I added Reta 1mg. I'm on a 6d rotation, so every 2d is another shot.

No, it's not working. Been stalled for 5 weeks now. Haven't decided on a course of action yet. About to head off to work for 3 months. I lose more easily there. Nothing to do but work out, and no alcohol.

I do Tirz on a Tuesday, then a small dose (0.5mg) of Cagrilintide to see me through as i got the food noise back towards the end of the week.

My split dosing schedule for Tirz was Monday evening - Friday Morning.
An even 3,5 days between shots and the ideal timing for me to minimise the urge to snack and have a drink or two 😇 in the weekend.

Timing preferences are individual of course but the 84h interval on Tirz has been a succes for me.

I speak German and a little English. The translator doesn't seem to be very reliable 🙈.

Been doing this since I started, no side effects and no dips during week. I do half my Reta dose, two days later half my tirz dose, two days later half my Reta dose, two days later half my tirz dose. I am below goal now

I’ll be taking 1.5 to 2.0 MG of Tirzep on Monday and 1.5 to MG Reta on Thursday. That’s my plan at least I’ve been in 3.0 MG Tirzep weekly for the last six weeks.

Bill.

Not splitting but I just compressed my schedule slightly to every 6 days instead of 7, same dose I was taking which, if I understand correctly amounts to a slight increase with the 6 day schedule? At any rate, first week of doing that I lost 3 pounds, haven't dealt with the 5 day drop off at all since.

I used to split my Tirz at the beginning but I’ve switched back to once a week because I do Reta 5 days after Tirz and Cagri which totally destroys my appetite completely. Pinning so often was annoying too since I’m on several peps rn. But spitting Tirz was great when I was doing it.

I follow the same schedule and it has worked well for me.

I split. I do 3.5mg Tuesday mornings at 8am and 3.5mg on Friday evenings at 8pm. I’m only on Tirzepatide, I haven’t ventured into anything else. It seems to work for me by keeping the levels more level, if that makes any sense. I’ve also noticed by side effects are much less this way.

I have been pinning mounjaro 28 weeks long. Started at 2.5 mg/week and after 4 weeks titrated to 5mg and stayed at 5mg. Always pinned at 7th day. My start weight was 101kg and my current weight is 78 kg. Felt always hunger noise on 6th day. But has never been a big deal. Despite hunger noise, I could not eat much more than the rest of the week. In place of splitting my dosage, splitted my portions on 6th day. Two weeks ago I've ordered my first grey market Tirz and received 2 days ago. Did not pin it yet and don't know if there is any difference with mounjaro? But up to me, splitting dosage is totally unnecessary.

You may find a difference between BP and grey product.

Congratulations on your success this far!

Thank you so much. An hour ago I have pinned my first dosage of 3,3 mg grey tirz. Not because I wanted to pin 3,3 but just because of constituting 20mg in 3ml BAC in place of 2ml by mistake 😉. I can also pin 90 units in place of 60 with my pen in order to pin 5mg. But I don't want to inject too much liquid under my skin. It is also not such bad. Because I would also begin with maintenance dosage. I don't know if I can feel the difference directly. Because last 2 days I have also been pinning 0,33 mg/day cjc1295 NO DAC+IPA and today felt whole day obvious hunger noise suppression. I didn't expect to feel it so much. If it stays like that, I will stop pinning tirz.

15mg/.5ml on Sat.
4.5/.15ml on Thurs. (All tirz. BTW)
Reason?
My 31gage syringes hold .5ml.
My 30gage syringes hold 1ml.
I don't like 30 gage needles.

Doesn't it also have something to do with the fact that Lilly vials are reliably overfilled .15mL?

Have you received any of the KwikPens? I wonder how much overfill are in those. I placed an order for one today.

Are you buying pens already filled with the liquid? I would not recommend this at all. It is very unsterile and you don’t know what you are injecting with

When I started in Jan 2025, I was doing a split dose, super super low amounts each, 2 shots a week. Until just the last two months, I stuck with that same schedule while also titrating up along the way. I started stacking Reta in March, and Cagri in April, and now do Reta and Tirz every six days--alternating, so one of the two every 3 days, plus a tiny amount of Cagri with each. I find the Cagri is more helpful with the Reta since I am still new and low on that. Because I changed the schedule I upped my Tirz a hair since it's only one a week now. Trying to find the sweet spot so I am not on Cagri long term, and will likely stay with the Tirz longer term, vs the Reta, since I need the food noise silencing that comes with Tirz.

I believe Kwikpens are pharma Mounjaro. I think, at least.

I had the earlier pens a year ago with 2.5mg each.
I'm not all the way home on pens.
Wouldn't the nice overfill seice to be if I were to go with the pens?
