You are referring to cortisone, which is a steroid used to treat inflammation. Hyaluronic acid products (like the the substance derived from rooster comb — which is more a substance than it is a medicine) is not a cortisone replacement. It’s a potential adjuvant, a helper, for cartilage repair.
