Feel like I've hit a tirz plateau. Switch to reta now or wait?

Been taking around 8-8.5mg tirz/week, and just a couple lbs from my goal weight, I hit a plateau. Now I'm actually up a couple lbs. I mixed up a vial each of tirz and reta this morning, and debating how I want to proceed. I could finish the tirz vial over the next 3-4 weeks and then try reta, or I could just try reta next dose time. From my reading, it seems I'm best off not stacking them, and I should wait at least 7 days since last tirz dose before moving to reta, starting at around 1mg.

I know a lot of folks in this subforum have tried both, and I've read through a few posts (including some people who stack without issues and others who warn not to stack). I'm leaning toward the latter.

People do stack to get the benefits of both but not on the same day.

I thought it might be prudent to switch before I got too close to the upper bounds. I remember reading on here that it can be good for your receptors to take a break from one peptide and go on another for a while. I was trying to avoid going all the way up to 10 on tirz, much less 15. Because as you say, it's a long game, and I haven't even been on this stuff for a year yet.

Some Pizza Huts still do too.

I have to stack reta since it's not doing anything really at 2 mg.

I gave you a thumbs up for your thought process and leaning towards not stacking Tirz/Reta. I agree with increasing your Tirz dose after you've confirmed you're in a plateau.

You have a headache. Do you take a child's Tylenol, one adult Tylenol or two? Better yet you need a buzz to get through your day. Will one shot of tequila get you there or three?

I'd see what happens at 10mg Tirz for a few weeks.
Just my 2¢.

Exactly. Reta has made me appreciate tirz more. I will be hoarding tirz even more now.

At 6+ mg, reta may be great for me. But getting there can be a bummer.

I was having GI sides with higher doses of tirz, but I have learned to manage sides better now. Like kratom to prevent diarrhea in the first place, along with imodium for any acute episodes.

This is my experience since I don't want to loose a lot of muscle like I was loosing. I been upping Reta while decreasing Tirz, every 2 weeks I go down 1mg tirz and go up 1mg Reta. And still loosing weight.
Not sure if this will help but here are my 2 cents.

You haven’t hit the upper bounds with T, why switch now? This is a long game…
This is what I would have said. When I was at 7.5 mg per week of Tirz, it barely worked and I gained a couple of pounds. As soon as moved to 10 mg, the weight loss clicked in again and I stayed at 10 for several months.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on kratom re: addiction potential. Most of what I've ever heard about kratom puts it in a super dangerous light, but I've read a lot of your posts and I don't believe that's something you wouldn't have thought through.

I'm sure that's true for a certain subset of people. I am too lazy to take anything consistently anyway except GLPs. My primary addictions/dependencies are digital, haha.

Another reason I like kratom is because it also helps with decreasing appetite somewhat. It is also very affordable. I got four different strains, a total of 1,000 capsules (500 grams), for $44 shipped. The container says a serving size is four capsules (2 grams), but many people take more than that (as do I).

Thanks! I appreciate hearing your considerations of it. That makes me think of my mother; she simply isn't an addict. Had to take opiates for the better part of a year. Disliked them, split pills to reduce her dose and stockpiled them knowing that someday, they might be needed and much harder to get, and was TERRIBLY relieved when she got her knee replaced and "can stop taking these goddamn pills. I don't know why anybody ruins their lives over them, all they do is make it hard to poop and make you sleep too much." I'll probably find her stockpile when she dies of a hopefully very old age.

Meanwhile, my addiction-prone father and addiction prone me over here like 😲

I think I'll probably finish the new vial of tirz, which should take about 3 weeks, and then move to the reta vial. I've had this reta for months now, and want to try it and see how it does. Since I'm at a plateau, it seemed like a good time.
