Does vacuum sealing for storage interfere with vacuum sealed vials?

This is how I do it: - individually wrapped vial in tin foil - vacuum sealed in 5 pack bags - each pack contains some dessiccant beams + oxygen remover pack.
  2. Does vacuum sealing for storage interfere with vacuum sealed vials?

I’m gonna start preparing a bunch of boxes for long term storage. I have a good vacuum sealer and thinking that pulling a vaccum on a vacuum sealer vial might f up the seal and/or the vacuum inside. Am I overthinking this? Also, is adding a desiccant pack a good or bad idea?

Thermos Freezer Test - Long-term storage

...big, Just opening the door and adding room temp products will bring the temp well above zero. With the thermos my peps stay at exactly -8.7 degrees over a 24 hour period. The desiccant packs keep the relative humidity at 6.7-6.8%. This $35 investment is a pretty low cost insurance policy.

Thermos Freezer Test - Long-term storage

...of surmise, so when I asked him if I needed to be doing more than a manual defrost freezer, essential oil cases, EO cases in 2 baggies with desiccant packages, he said it was probably overkill. The peps don't freeze, there is no water left in them after the lyophilization process - or should...

So like, how much of a stockpile do you have of your peptides?

Anela told me to do this. I have a vacuum sealer, so I put a few vials in with some desiccant and vacuum seal before putting in the freezer. It's definitely not pretty, but it keeps the moisture out.

That was I’m doing for fridge and freezer. Ordered some desiccant packs too.

So like, how much of a stockpile do you have of your peptides?

I get essential oil cases on Amazon for $10 (holds 30 vials) and one lunch box ice pack in the net of the lid (Amazon 2 for $10). I put the vials in so the bases are in contact with the ice pack and vacuum seal the whole case. (May be overkill but satisfies my OCD) Highly recommend the Gasbye...

So like, how much of a stockpile do you have of your peptides?

...I consider not a lot of benefit and the biggest sin of all, it doesn't fit in my nice little foam case. I have elected to just put a desiccant bag in the case where each type of pep is stored and call that good enough. Moisture intrusion should be pretty identifiable if it is any...

So like, how much of a stockpile do you have of your peptides?

I bit the bullet and purchased a Honeywell manual defrost mini freezer from Home Depot a few months back. Works pretty well for my needs. Has a lock on it also. I put a thermostat in it to see how well it maintained temperature and it averages about -11°. Bounces between -10.4° and -11.7°.

So like, how much of a stockpile do you have of your peptides?

I've been on the fence about getting a dedicated freezer as well, but I've held off because what I really want is a fridge/freezer so that I can store all of my pep stuff in its own place. Unfortunately all of the combo units I've found seem to have really tiny freezers and lots of fridge space...

So like, how much of a stockpile do you have of your peptides?

I broke down and bought a mini-fridge/freezer combo for all my research products. I'm out of control. 😂

So like, how much of a stockpile do you have of your peptides?

UH-OH I just opened my 24oz food thermos to add some recently purchased kits and realized it will only hold about four-kits (with a desiccant pack, maybe 5 without). I have at least 6 more kits of various peps either already received or inbound in the next couple of weeks. This means I would...

    Good compounding resource

So funny! I'm down to essential oil cases, with desiccant packs inside a plastic bag. In a mini freezer that is manual defrost. Needed because our fridge/freezer isn't super spacious.

    Good compounding resource

I have been thinking about this all day but if you were going to do this, would you try and seal every individual vial or just an entire kit? I am going to see how well I can seal and individual vial this weekend and selfishly, I hope they fit in my nice foam case after they are sealed

    Good compounding resource

Yes this is good advice, I just started doing that, so I'll keep an eye on it and reseal as needed. I also added some molecular sieve (desiccant) before vacuum sealing to remove any residual humidity.

I might put in a freezer gelpac, a few desiccants and vaccuum pack the whole thing for long term freezer storage. Good way to protect the hoard?

    Good compounding resource

I added Styrofoam that came with some package, and put it in the net inside the cover for more protection and have desiccant packs in the net and atop vials. For me, the essential oil cases with their foam make more sense then the plastic 3d printed boxes that have no cushioning at all. Also...

    Experiences with SRY?

...in <1 year, a room temperature, dark space is fine. If you are stocking up for the apocalypse and will use it >1 year from now the freezer is best. I put them in the freezer in a ziplock and then in a food storage thermos with a desiccant pack. Hopefully, when the end of days arrive I'll...
