The FDA RDA for protein is 0.36g/lb. I know, that's crazy low, I was shocked too when I first read it.I think it’s difficult eating as much protein as you are supposed to. I’m 6’ 1”. And would like to weigh 200lbs lean. 200 grams of protein per day is VERY intentional. I would prefer to get it all from filet, but who the hell can afford that?
They also gave us the food pyramid. lolThe FDA RDA for protein is 0.36g/lb. I know, that's crazy low, I was shocked too when I first read it.
The body building mantra is 1g/lb, perhaps that is, just a 'little' bit excessive for normal people.
Nope, not for me. How about a nice, thick 14-ounce organic steak people?‘How about a chicken breast, people?’

Then there all of the nutrients and Amino Acids that you need to make sure you are consuming to even process the protein we eat. Why can’t anything be simple? Because then people couldn’t profit. Living and eating healthy is pretty expensive.
PROTEIN BOWL: fried plantains / quinoa / black beans / avocado / tomatoes / mangos / red onion / maple sriracha dressing
ADD PROTEIN: CHICKEN / CAJUN SHRIMP / STEAK
YummyFor protein snacks (besides nuts, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and boiled eggs), I like shrimp cocktail, and the shrimp is at a great price at Sam's Club. I also make a mini tuna sandwich with one slice of bread cut in half, or I put the tuna on Melba toast.
How about black beans with quinoa?(I had Cuban grandparents and grew up in Miami, so I love black beans and rice.)
Black beans with quinoa actually tastes great as the foundation of a Cuban-inspired protein bowl if prepared and spiced properly, with other ingredients like avocado, red/purple onions, and feta cheese. I got the idea from a local restaurant:
