Another Newbie (sorta)- Pittsburgh Area

Hi All! I have been on my GLP1 journey etc for one year today. I got married 8 years ago, and boy oh boy...the weight piled on during that time! I went from 185 to 265!!! YIKES. So after trying Keto, Calories in Calories out, personal trainers, etc.,.etc. I lost 20lbs, then back up, then down, the yo yo experience. After much contemplating I decide the week before my 54th BDAY (next week- last year) that I needed to try something different. My insurance wouldn't cover any GLP1 meds after qualify for it from my Doc. So i was.forced to look at Compounding options. I found a great vendor and started my journey. I chose Tirzepatide and.no regrets. I lost 30 lbs in the first 3 months! Unfortunately I plateaud after month 4 and pretty much stayed the same for several months. I stuck it out for the entire year, as I promised myself to give it a year. Well, next week is my 55th Bday and I lost 45 lbs, which I feel is pretty good. However, I am not at my goal. Compounded Tirzepatide is not cheap and now is going to become unavailable with the Lilly lawsuit. So.....I have started looking into powder format peptides and reconstituting it myself. It comes with a lot of questions and concerns. So I am taking my time. However, I'm running out of Tirzepatide in 2 weeks. I did pick up 10MG Reta that was tested by a US company. I decided to switch away from Tirzepatide, since I stalled, and try something different.

So here is to my next year and hopefully doing everything right to lose the remaining 30 lbs I need to shed before my 56th bday next year!

Any helpful guidance will be greatly appreciated. I am looking to start with 2.5 mg weekly on reta and see how it goes. Will likely titrate up month 2.

Definitely would welcome anyone who has experienced a similar transition feon Tirz to Reta.
