Going grey due to loosing GLP-1 coverage after switching insurances. After 25 years of no progress, this drug has finally got my health were it should have been and my A1C us under 1.7.
As a small biz owner, I couldn't see the benefit of paying $3800/m for a family of 4. I moved my family to a much lower cost plan, but it doesn't cover Mounjaro. Healthcare costs are criminal in U.S. and in Texas. This needs to be the #1 topic for the next national elections until it is fixed. On this new benefit plan, there are no fewer than 7 companies involved; admin, network, payments, finance, 2 prescription checkers (aka firewalls), pharmacies (multiple), doctor portal, patient portal, sales, recruiting, accounting. Everyone is taking a cut and sucking at the teat of this "must have" industry. It's time to stop it. The industry around healthcare plan service management is unnecessary and out-of-control.
