So I’m curious if anyone that suffers from migraines and is currently taking anti CGRP medication ie: Ajovy, Emgality or Qulipta etc. I currently take Qulipta 60mg daily. I have suffered from crippling migraines since I was a child maybe 8 years old? Any who, it has been life changing. However I am interested in cagrisema but (cagrilintide) in a long acting amylin analog and my understanding is that it increases CGRP and I’m wondering how that might affect me, it anyone else that is on an anti-CGRP. I have seen studies that say when they have administered CGRP into even non migraine patients it can induce migraines. So does that mean I shouldn’t even consider cargrisema or does the amylin analog not affect that CGRP receptor? That’s what I can’t figure out. Any insight anyone?
