Any idea who is the carrier local (Germany) when order arrives with GLY and has cleared customs?

My order has cleared customs in nederlands two days ago and was handed to the local carrier. There are at least 5 local carriers here and I have no idea who´s got the parcel now? DHL has not and DPD also has not known the tracking #. Perhaps somebody knows who is working with GLY ?

I'm very interested because my package is coming via GLY.

Depending on the shipping method, it will typically end up with one of these carriers:

• GLS → VERY common in Spain

• Correos (Spanish Postal Service) → if it's a cheaper/postal service

• SEUR (DPD Group)

• DPD

• UPS

• FedEx

💡 Typical example:

• China → (GLI / YunExpress / 4PX / Cainiao)

• Europe (hub in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany)

• Final delivery → GLS or Correos in Spain

I found Chatgpt to be pretty good at answering those questions in Australia, cannot see why it would be different there. First and easiest is to use one of the general global tracking sites like 17track to see if they find it. I have had packages I could not track locally despite a lot of looking and they showed up anyway. Also often bulk shipping with local reposting arrangements are often used to reduce odds of customs interception, or costs? which can make tracking hard.

Yes, 17track stops 31st march at 17 o´clock after that it is at the local carrier, but no idea who 😉

It was always DHL for the last mile for me.

But, don't forget that sometimes there is a "Local carrier" which seems to serve no other purpose but to basically brings stuff from NL customs storage to the actual carriers (like DHL). I had that a few times too.

For example, for one of the previous orders, that "local carrier" up there was (seemingly) not DHL (I was watching this in parallel on DHL account). On my DHL account, it stayed on "announced", then "transport to DHL"(Sendung im Weitertransport zu DHL") as long as it was at the "local carrier".

Only changed to the next stage, i.e. "Vorbereitung zum Weitertransport" when it was in DHL facility in Krefeld. Might not always be the case, just illustrating 🙂
