I have been reading and studying on all the testing and filtering of the Gray products. I agree that we need to confirm what it is and how much is in the vial. I also agree with the small expense to filter, it is probably worth while. Although, the filtering does add some exposure to contamination that just reconstituting a vial does not. Add to this endotoxin testing it really becomes quite the process to do everything.

My question is do the compounding pharmacies do things like this? Do they filter? Do they test for endotoxin's? I assume that they are getting product from FDA inspected manufactures but it may be possible that some of the gray suppliers are the same. So what is done by the compounders to confirm people are safe?

Doctor Google gives a pretty robust answer. The short version is that some do in-house testing and some outsource it. They test for endotoxins, live bacteria, potency, etc. - all the stuff that we talk about here. They are required to destroy any batch that doesn’t meet standards.
