Customs Question - How Long Do I Wait?

Hi Everyone!

I ordered from QSC in mid-December, and the experience has been great overall. The package shipped on December 21 and arrived at Los Angeles Customs on December 29. Initially, the tracking showed “In clearance processing – Import,” which seemed normal. However, instead of leaving customs, it changed to “Customs inspection – Import” on December 29 and hasn’t updated since.

Could this package be lost in customs? Coincidentally, I had another package go through Los Angeles a day earlier. That one cleared the same day and has already arrived.

How long should I wait before reaching out to QSC?

I think you've waited long enough to go ahead and reach out. I am not sure how they will handle the situation so please report back with your experience :-D
 
I have the same thing going on with the same verbage since 1/2/25

I'm going to reach out today via whatsapp just to document it with a screenshot. Sucks, hopefully it's just an issue with the holidays delaying things.

Is this some dry, ultra-sarcastic post and I missed the joke? Or is it really true that people are worried about a package being in customs for 6 and 2 days? 😅

I've read about stuff getting stuck in customs for long periods of time. It's just never happened to me. Of the 15ish packages I've ordered, they all clear customs same day. Usually within a few hours.

I've had a package in customs for a few weeks. I WhatsApp'd SSA to ask them what happened. They told me the package had been seized. SSA said they'll let me know when the replacement ships.

I wouldn’t ask Tracey about anything till at least 25 days if you read about him they only reship after 30. Asking a pissing him off seems to be quite an entertaining show. I’d give it a few weeks, this is the game we play when we order from the grey.

I read last night on another forum that the container stuck in LA customs showed movement last night. Hopefully, this was your shipment.
 
if the tracking updates after customs say san fran, LA or flushing ny you are good to go if it does not update after be careful with the package postal insp. look normal but always sign from your normal post guy if not dont accept it
 
Hi mine was stuck since 16th December ant LAX and it got released today. So wait for a couple more weeks.

Also, QSC will not ship till there is no movement for 30 calendar days. Hence, you are better off waiting.
