Hi everyone!

Newbie here—please be gentle.

So, I’ve been rocking a solid 30-50 extra pounds since the tender age of 15. It’s been a lifelong rollercoaster of dieting, wishful thinking, and pretending kale chips are a satisfying snack. Things really escalated after I had kids and entered my late 30s, which, as it turns out, is the perfect storm of no time, no energy, and a metabolism that left the building.

Despite many noble attempts (and a few tragic juice cleanses), nothing stuck (except fat cells, to my a**). Enter: GLP-1 medications. I got curious, did some research, and found… science. My doctor, husband, and extended family all think I’ve grown a third eye or something for even considering GLPs. However, I've done a bit of research and am finding that GLP-1s have been used for years for diabetes, and while yes—there are risks (just like with literally every medication including, I dunno, Tylenol), they seem generally safe.

Last month, I got prescribed Tirzepatide through an online company, and they shipped it via a compounding pharmacy. On just 2.5mg, I’ve lost 10 pounds in a month. Am I still hungry sometimes? Yes. Do I still have moments where I’d fight a raccoon for a brownie? Absolutely. But overall, it’s been a huge help with self-control.

Here’s the catch: no one in my real life knows I’m doing this. So I’m currently storing the meds in our garage fridge like a diet coke smuggler. The only real issues I’ve had so far are (1) the cost—even compounded meds ain’t cheap—and (2) constantly worrying someone’s going to open the fridge and find my secret stash next to the Perrier.

I’m ordering my second shipment today but am also on the hunt for more affordable options so I can hopefully reach my goal without having to sell a kidney.

Welcome to the forum! There is a ton of knowledge to absorb here and once you take the plunge into grey, you will never pay compounding prices again. It should only cost a few dollars a month until you go down the rabbit hole of all the other amazing peptides out there!

Bwaaaahahaha! Love it! 🤣🤣

Welcome!
I started out using my doctor who got it from a compounding pharmacy last year....for many months! Keep searching here, you will find the answers you're looking for! Read through the different forums and topics. Familiarize yourself with crypto and supplies. You may have to come up with some different hiding methods,😎 although, it would be good for someone close to you to know what you are taking in case of an emergency of any kind. 😉
I think you will do just fine in your journey. Good luck!

Welcome Taylor. I have had a great experience on Tirz, started with compounding through online telehealth and then found my way here.

There are a lot of storage options that will help hide your illicit contraband. There are people making cool 3d printed cases and selling them here and elsewhere. The tirzepatide that I have seen both from compounding and from grey usually comes in the 3ml vials (though I think the compounding pharmacy that sells the 75mg vials uses a larger size).

I ended up buying a 32oz hydrapeak thermos. it helps keep the temp stable through fluctuations, and has the added benefit of being discreet. Nobody should be opening up the random thermos in your garage fridge. For additional security, label it “leftover kombucha” or something.

I ordered the hydrapeak insert from a store called chickadoodlez on Etsy. I think someone on this forum also makes really cool storage solutions.

Good luck, there is a ton of info here and some really knowledgeable people.

And it’s amazing how fast you’ll learn. When I first came here I was like, “Why is everyone so mean!?! 😭Why won’t they just tell me what to do and where to buy and hold my hand!?! 😢” Then after taking a deep breath, I started to read a zillion posts and learned a ton in a very short period of time. I’m still really new and I’ve already made several mistakes, but I’ve learned from them.

Welcome and thank you for your actual introduction! I have a similar journey to yours including ST/CW/GW and have made the jump into greyish. Keep reading, keep asking questions and don't be shocked when you start stacking!

Are you able to afford vials through the Lilly Direct Program? Does your insurance not cover any of the cost?

Hello and welcome! I can understand going compound - it's a safe way to ease into the world of GLP1s, but being able to chose your own weight loss path cannot be beat. Plus right now you can't get access to retatrutide except through the grey market, and it is definitely worth exploring to see if works for you.

As for telling others about my peptide use- I don't advertise that I'm on them but I did enlist my husband's help and I did tell my rheumatologist after I started using them (he was mad at first but elated when he saw me again 6 months later). I only tell family when they notice my dramatic weight loss. They accept it but are definitely confused, they just can't conceive getting medicine from the internet instead of a doctor.

Welcome! I hid Mounjaro shots in boxes behind the diet soda in the veggie bin right below the beer for a year! My partner would never reach for a diet soda! It wasn't until 70lbs later and I started using the freezer that I told him. He didn't blink and asked if we needed to buy a dedicated freezer! 🤣

Hello and welcome! Don't worry about the weight sticking to your a**. Tirz will do the job😄😄😄 Good luck to you!👍
