I wish to start electrolytes. But, the have Salt. I take Zep. Ie part of the goal to include salt??? I have high blood pressure, thus. Seems like a bad idea. Or, does Zep deplete my salt so much that I should still take an elctrolytes that includes salt? Trying to keep BP down.

The maximum Recommended Daily Allowance of sodium is 2300 milligrams. Several electrolyte supplements I’ve seen have 1,000 milligrams in each serving!

As someone taking hypertension meds I don’t see how it would be possible for me to add any electrolyte supplements at all.

Also, I’ve taken Semaglutide for about a year, and Tirzepatide about two months. Neither of them has dropped the level of sodium shown on my blood tests.

Of course you should check with your physician about these things.

EDIT: for clarity I inserted “for me” as I’m not prescribing for anyone!
