Expiration??

For safety purposes, it is recommended to throw out any vial 28 days after the first puncture to limit the possibility of bacteria growth causing infections. Many people disregard that guideline and opt for safer practices such as wiping the top of the vial with rubbing alcohol both before and after you draw the medication into your syringe, which is always good to do regardless of how long the vial has been 'open.'

Regarding the efficacy of the medication - it does slowly degrade over time. I would still use mine for as long as I felt it was still safe to do so, because slightly less powerful tirz is better than none, and this shit is expensive.

Best practice it to only reconstitute one vial at a time, and get your meds in reasonable amounts. Don't get 60mg vials if your dose is only 2.5mg. That would take you quite some time to go through, introducing more opportunities for bacterial growth. That said, subcutaneous injections are relatively safe, as our bodies can generally fight off infections with relative ease. From what I understand, a more pressing concern would be intramuscular injections, as those infections are more difficult to fend off.
