I only bought a Mounjaro pen to lose some weight. I never realized I'd end up becoming a Pephead! I can't believe how vast this subject is. If someone had told me I'd be 'reconstituting' products bought from strangers on the net, I'd never have believed it.

I'd like to learn more. Right now I want to know how to manage a break and then restart. My RS has been doing this for eight months now and needs a break.

Welcome! You can definitely just stop. Give yourself a timely pep vacation and call it a day. Slow and easy when your ready to restart.

Mom here ✌🏻 got pregnant so had to stop cold turkey. Took about 6 weeks for the "feelz" of tirz to go away. No side effects from stopping.

Hello and welcome!

If and only if you feel like sharing, would love to know why you "need a break."

Also, guess what, you don't need to use the "RS" subterfuge here! You can be yourself 🙂

I've been on Tirz for nine months. It's been great, I've lost 42lbs. I'd like to lose another 30, but I'm feeling quite battered. I get very tired and I'd also like to give my guts a rest after being on laxatives for so long. Also, I have a skate marathon to do in September and I'd like to come off for that. I'm on 12.5mg Tirz stacking with 5mg of Cagri. I'd like to plan a taper off and then a restart after maybe a couple of months? Maybe 'reset the receptors' as I hear some people talk about. What do you reckon?

Lack of "medication compliance" is the number one reason for weight gain in our situation. So good luck with the cravings 🙂 Just this week, I took an extra day or two before injecting again, and I was already back to my old habits.

If you want a break from the sides, I would just keeping lowering the dose until there are no sides or they are more tolerable. Like going down to 10 mg and then maybe 7.5 and then seeing where you are there. As low as 5 mg is considered a therapeutic dose.

They are a relative few, but there are forum members here taking 20+ mg of tirz every week, and their receptors are still sensitive. If their receptors were temporarily "fried," then they might as well take a break if their receptors would not react to exogenous GLP.

Yeah, but my GI side effects (when I have them, such as from being on a higher dose) are always gone after a week since the last dose. They start as early as day three after the weekly injection.

And like other people here, my cravings can start to come back on day five if I am on a lower dose.

I will agree with the cravings. I was just thinking there would be some benefit with glucose metabolism and how the body would handle it. If someone was on a lower dose, I could see that being difficult.
