Yo guys,

I recently noticed that the spot I inject into most often (I do rotate sites, though) has become a little thicker. It feels like the fat tissue in that area has built up, and after looking into it, it seems like it could be lipohypertrophy. From what I've read, that can affect absorption and means the area should be avoided for a while

I'm curious how many of u have experienced this and how it developed over time. Did it eventually go away once u stopped injecting there? Did it affect how well the medication worked for u?

For reference, it started at the site of my very first injection, about 3–4 cm to the right of my belly button

I am type 2 diabetic....so I get 4 shots a day. yes, you will get scar tissue build up if you don't move your shot sites around. give that area a rest for a month or so and it should go back to normal.

I’ve mostly had hard lumps (fat is soft). By using thinner, shorter needles, the problem has gone away (32G, 4mm). It’s best not to inject too close to the navel (>5 cm). I inject further out on my abdomen, in the love handles. I don’t do it on my thighs anymore; it’s become difficult to avoid causing a bruise (not enough fat).
