Hi guys,

My fiancée and I are planning to start Reta very soon and would like some guidance if possible. She has no experience with GLP’s and I have experience with zepbound where I lost 155lbs, but insurance stopped covering it and had to switch to wegovy which did not work as well plus some bad habits starting to come back I regained 30lbs.

What dosing should we start? Is it the same plan as a zepbound plan? Same dose for 4 weeks and then dose up? If I order a kit, should I keep the other 9 in the fridge or freezer?

Thanks in advance

The consensus for Reta is low and slow. But, you are in control. I'll tell you what worked for me, but everyone is different. I started at 2mg for 2 weeks. Then every 2 weeks I went up 1mg. (e.g. 2 weeks on 4mg, then 2 weeks on 5 mg). Over time this is a slower progression than the FDA trials. I did this all the way to 12mg with no problems. The only time I had a problem is at the beginning when I tried to go from 2mg to 3mg after 1 week. I had diarrhea for a week.

Again, this was just my own experiment. I haven't seen anyone else try it. Reta is strong. When in doubt, go slow.

I did close to the chart in post #5. Here's what I'm doing, and I'll pin #4 on 4mg will be this Friday. Not sure if if I want to jump straight to 8mg yet. I might stay at 4mg for another 4weeks, jump to 6mg or go right to 8mg. The scale next Monday will let me know. I'm currently losing 2-3lbs a week, and usually 3.
Weeks 1-4 2mg
Weeks 5-8 4mg
Weeks 9-12 8mg
I've also changed my diet quite a bit, and prepare to not be hungry. Although, I don't know much about what you were on and how it affects your appetite.
Good Luck.

I guess I'm a bit late to reply but here's my take on things. You were familiar with and had seemingly brilliant results with Zepbound. Why not stick with it? Zepbound is one of the commercial brand names for Triz, it is very effective and depending on what venders you order from it is somewhat less expensive (though that's very subjective based on dosage and vender pricing etc).

Based on who's research?
