Hi everyone,
I’m 55 (M) and new here — grateful to join this community and looking forward to learning from the incredible depth of knowledge you’ve all built.
Since December, I’ve taken 26 weekly shots of Tirzepatide (mostly Lilly Direct Zepbound, with a few compounded doses mixed in) and lost 55 pounds. My BMI is down to 25.3, which I know isn’t a perfect metric, but it marks a meaningful milestone for me. I feel better than I have in decades — blood pressure and many other biomarkers are all at best-ever measured levels. That experience really opened my eyes to what’s possible with GLP-1s and, more broadly, peptides.
More recently, I tried oral BPC-157 (500mg/day for 30 days) to address persistent shoulder pain I’ve had for over a year. To my surprise, the pain is now completely gone — so you can put me in the camp of people who believe oral BPC can work, at least for some kinds of joint/muscle issues.
My long-term goal is to learn everything I can — slowly, safely, and responsibly.
Short-term, I have an inguinal hernia repair scheduled later this month. I’m doing my best to read through old posts, but I’d love help finding clear, current guidance around using BPC-157 (and possibly TB-500) to aid in post-op healing. I had the other side repaired 20 years ago and recovered well, so I have a benchmark. Just hoping to support my system as well as I can this time around.
I’m also trying to stay ahead of loose skin from the weight loss — and would be grateful for any leads there too.
I understand these topics have likely been covered in depth, and I’ll keep searching. But if anyone feels inclined to point me toward useful threads, I’d truly appreciate it.
