I’ve been a member since June of 2024, but have never posted so I thought I’d say hi! I’m a type 2 diabetic, and started my GLP-1 journey in July of 2023. I lost eighty plus pounds in eight months and have been on maintenance since February of 2024. I started learning about peptides on Reddit back in 2023, and have helped to guide a few of my loved ones through the grey world since then. I’m currently considering Cagrilintide to help with food noise that has begun to creep back in. I look forward to continuing to learn more here and at Peppys, and interacting with fellow peppers! !

Hello
We have a very similar journey. I'm no longer diabetic down to my goal weight and yes I use Cagrillintide to keep food noise down it works for me.

My doc says I'm still diabetic, but its well managed, my A1c is down to 5 at my last bloodwork. I was originally on Mounjaro but switched to Oz due to shortages and stayed with it. Last year I backed off my injections to enjoy a visit to New Orleans and the holidays, but now that I'm back on my regular dosing I've noticed it isn't quite as effective and my doctor doesn't want to raise my dose. Thank you for your reply, I'm delighted to hear about your success with the Cagri!

Prescribed Mounjaro and never went above 5mg because glucose was well managed (primary concern). Nearly 80lb lost and currently a smidge below ideal weight. Went gray during shortages and have become a peptide/Mounjaro hoarder! I'll never be w/o it.

Added Cagri to drop the last few pounds and like the subtle (for me) extension of suppression throughout the week. No adverse effects.

My doctor says there are Diabetics and managed Diabetics. Anyone who thinks they're cured just needs to return to their old habits and weight to be unmanaged Diabetic again. I know that's a point of contention. I'm sure my insurance company would be elated and cut me off the moment they heard I'm "cured."

I never had to go above 5mg either. I was a super responder, I took my first shot on a Saturday night and I woke up Monday morning I had zero interest in food. With Mounjaro I also had a carb aversion, but that left when I switched to Oz. Now I can eat anything. My doc agrees with yours, these peptides don't cure diabetes or obesity, they just manage them exceptionally well!
