I'm Jenn aka pissyrabbit. It's my old blogging handle and it's been good to me for multiple decades now ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I was a healthy weight most of my life and as an adult I would almost say I was an athlete. When I hit 40 I had a really bad break in my foot which required surgery, 2 months of crutches and no running for a long while (the story of how that break happened is pretty hilarious though)
I was running about 2 miles a day at the point where I broke my foot but continued to eat as if I was still running. Gained some pounds but still not terrible.
I went back to running after that healing process but noticed that even though I felt better the extra weight really wasn't coming off.
Then IVF came along.
The meds for IVF are brutal on your body and I did 7 rounds. Progesterone SUUUUUUCKS. I could almost watch myself getting heavier and heavier and since I'd had a few miscarriages I was really worried about doing too much running or lifting.
My daughter was born in 2013 and I was battling some PPD so even though I was trying to get back to working out I was really struggling with making it happen.
I was 132lbs on my 39th birthday and topped out at 232 lbs this time last year.

Early in 2022 a good friend of mine started oz through her Dr and by the late summer she was a completely healthy weight. I was stunned. So I asked my GP for it and she was thrilled to prescribe it for me. I got kicked off in March like so many other people and went the compounding route for 2 months while researching peptides. After reading Red voraciously for a few months and spending a stupid amount of time trying to understand the dose/reconstitution math I took the plunge with an order from Arctic and I never looked back.

I'm now at 175 and slowly getting rid of the remaining 30-35lbs with sema. I'm incredibly grateful for this medication and the generosity this community has shown with their knowledge and willingness to help folks.

I have also loved arctic! They are my absolute favorite. Ive loved the service and double testing.
I have found the events that lead to weight gain can just kind of compound on each other. Fortunately Ive found losing it also works this way. Losing the weight increased the working out, improved the eating, etc. My spending has actually also improved! While I dont know if the drugs themselves effect regulation/impulsive behaviors besides eating, I am fascinated in how I think these meds can help demonstrate that weight loss can help lead to behavior modification, not the other way around.

Well you gonna leave us hanging like that? Lol whatโ€™s the funny story?
I was literally just walking up the stairs to my apartment. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
For all of my athleticism, distance biking, rock climbing, running. I broke my foot walking up the gd stairs coming home from a wedding.
I said to my (now wife) "I think I broke my foot" she's was like "you did not. Come up stairs" it was labor day weekend and I didn't want to go to the hospital because it was going to be ugly with drunken messes so I went to sleep. Then around 6am my foot was so swollen I couldn't ignore it anymore.
Spiral fracture.

That's crazy! It is always the most unlikely event to take someone down. Stupid stingray killing the freaking crocodile hunter is a good example. lol. I hope you are doling much better now, i can only imagine what a long hard road that recovery would be.

Foot fractures/surgery/healing are horrible! Had 3, then was just starting back walking at a good pace, after almost 2 yrs of being sedentary and gaining 40lbs, and I tore a ligament in my foot. Crazy. Just now getting back to it hoping to get off the rest of the weight. Good luck!

You and I are at the same weight and need to lose the same amount lol ๐Ÿ˜† I minored in PE in college and did 3 triathlons way back when (didnโ€™t place but at least I finished ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ) Getting old certainly sucks! Congratulations on the birth of your daughter and the weight loss. ๐Ÿ’Ÿ
