I actually been here for a while but I don't like to talk about myself. I am here because of perimenopause weight gain, I've lost a lot but not reached my goal yet. I still feel 'newbie' and I get it that we shouldn't ask for references on vendors but sometimes read between the lines about them somehow when people are writing in here in order to not to be screwed and also not die injecting who knows what into our tummy fat. So I'm here every day, lurking. I wonder if some wise expert can share how did they gain illumination. Also, digital nomad. It's exciting to travel with the little bottles wondering when are they going to stop me at the border.

My idea of reading between the lines is really "herd mentality". Safety in numbers and paying attention to the daily news.

Example-
Recent tariffs put a strain on CN vendors leading more to Domestic (not necessarily admittedly a US company) which caused a rapid degradation in acceptance and an increase in complaints leading many buyers back to the far east.

The CN vendors struggled with Holidays and tariffs causing delays and added cost but have now leveled out with most remaining intact after the drama.

Lately the recent golden CN vendor, who may be Sorry that they got so much publicity, has hit a few bumps in the road but likely remains a top source. Although, it appears, many are going to Hong Kong, or a few other alphabet companies, to avoid being sorry about their purchase.

There are new ones popping up all the time and we are starting to get results back on testing, but as the market fills up it is hard to decipher the best new candidates.

It always seems like a hot mess to me. Even with group buys in the US on Discord, it doesn't seem much different than buying opium in the 1800s in the basement of a saloon.

The Meso-Rx forum provides additional data points about some vendors, especially since they buy a lot of the same things we do and have a greater number of users, including Europeans.

Making online peptide friends in Europe may be your best bet in the long term. I thought we were uniquely screwed in the US with the drug companies, but I was surprised to see a number of people in Europe in here.

Yeah, and even without group testing, if the vendor is popular enough, you will hear about a bad batch eventually, at least for a GLP if it is really bad. So one strategy @zpped mentioned is waiting a month or whatever before injecting.

The worst-case scenerio I worry about: You are already on a high dose of something, like 15 mg of tirz. And you accidentally get a synthetic opioid instead (since the individual vials are never labeled, and some vendors sell almost everything). This is when it may be good to treat newly-received peptides like a new brand of dry dog food, where you inject some of your old supply and some of the new.

I feel your pain. A lot of us newbies are just trying to not die in our quest to find a “safe” (haha) vendor (dealer). I still haven’t cracked the code here, but I’m trying. I ended up going with a more expensive vendor, but at least they have extensive 3rd party testing. And it’s one of the 3-5 vendors that is mentioned a lot here. (It’s not Nexa!)

I think the challenge is "Safe", at some point you realize none are... and we are all diving in the dark hoping the water is not shallow. None of us want to tell the other to jump- We just try to say when someone has a problem or how to "maybe" avoid one.

There are no SAFE vendors, only hopefully safer ones...

Yes, I totally get that. The safest bet is just to not do peptides at all. I’m not even safe if I walk out my front door. I’ll take in a deep breath of fresh air and then find out my neighbor is spraying Roundup weed killer in the wind, which is probably a lot more dangerous than peptides. Actually, I probably shouldn’t even leave my house. But that’s not 100% safe either. 😊

I’ll just keep hoping!

That is 100% accurate, it is exactly the same!
You choose to go outside, breathe in that beautiful roundup and get the black lung.
I am merely saying, I spray roundup on my property and understand the dangers, but I do not recommend others do that.

It is a good analogy.

I felt this needed it's own post-
quick edit.

If you do not understand the previous post, it means you have some more reading to do before you pick a source.

But we all get there, you will too.

If the pricing for testing went down from $300 to $200, then far more people would have their own kits tested. So that is another thing keeping grey a hot mess, and the pricing definitely won't be going down.

Ever heard of Forever Young Pharmacy, reportedly 200 per test?

I think one of the challenges is the testing and the base they use was an issue about 5-6 months ago on some tests from peptide or vanguard, i do not remember which and were showing different results than Jano- I believe it was determined to be an issue and everyone went back to Jano.

I guess if you just wonder what your pinning it would be ok to use any with the ability to run HPLC. Although most vendors would want Jano if you were seeking any refund and that might be worth the time and cost difference of 100-150.

Yeah, I remember now:
