I have been on here for a while, reading and reading and well just keep confusing myself but didn't want to be a weirdo and not introduce myself. All the message boards, and FB groups kind of scare me to ask many questions so I will just keep reading. Got sober in 2020, started Trz in 2023, lost all the weight I wanted to, relapsed in 2024 and gained so much back kept doing what I had left and let's just say it did not help booze weight gain. Anyway, sober 50 days again today and still trying to get back on track now that I feel better, well somewhat the scale isn't moving and not sure if I am pre-peri-or IN menopause so that's also fun to try and figure out. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi.

Glad you got back 💖

I have read that tirz helps with the booze. There have been a number of people in these threads and other forums that have said this.

I know, for me, I couldn't lose weight until I got my hormones straight.. but I went into meno at 48. I suffered for a few years and finally found an NP and got on BHRT. It was a life changer for me. I started Ozempic soon after.

Thank you! Yes I was just talking to my sponsor about that. When i relapsed I was on a mission lol it was more mental but I do remember it helping when i was in a better headspace ! I will be 48 in April and had a partial hysterectomy in 2017, last year out of nowhere I started having seizures about once a month, until Dec (my meds are working for now while I figure out something because the neurologist didn’t find anything but then I started with night sweats & started reading and APPARENTLY hormones can cause “late onset seizures”…so I am waiting on my doctor to talk to a specialist about my bloodwork because my Testosterone is low-ish, Estradol normal range but on the higher side and FSH is low. Plus drinking can affect it all too. I have been feeling like a guinea pig. My neurologist is ok with me trying BHRT, so I am supposed to hear what she thinks in a few days. Getting old is not for the weak that’s for sure! I started Black Cohosh vitamins for the night sweats thank GOD. But there has got to be some sort of answer (hopefully) lol. Thank you sorry for rambling but I love hearing how others deal with peri/pre/meno-whatever it is because there are so many unknowns! :)
