Hi šš» Iām Beard0! Iām a 33F living in Roanoke, VA with PCOS/Hashimotoās, riddled with ADHD and a touch of the tism. Iāve struggled with my weight for most of my life.
My experience with GLP-1 medications started about two years ago with Mounjaro. I was on it for eight months and titrated up to 15mg, but eventually had to stretch out the time between injections due to the nationwide shortages. At one point, I was taking 15mg one month, skipping a month, and then doing another round of 15mg. At the time, I did not know that high doses shouldnāt be spaced out like that and that restarting the titration process is typically recommended. During this time, I also experienced two episodes of sharp, fluctuating pain on my right side. After testing, my doctors luckily found that my gallbladder and pancreas looked fine, aside from a mildly fatty liver. They couldnāt pinpoint a cause and ultimately chalked it up to trapped gas. In the end, I decided to stop taking Mounjaro and since then, Iāve slowly regained the 40 pounds I had lost.
Iām now considering trying GLP-1s againābecause aside from those two episodes, the medication really helped with both my PCOS and ADHD symptoms, among other things. Iāve recently learned about Retatrutide and I am hoping to learn more about peptides in general. Im hoping this forum can help me do just that!
