Insulin is getting repackaged and sold as Ozempic

What do you mean they should get their supply chain in order? Counterfeiters are responsible for taking insulin pens and putting ozempic labels on them, and the pharmacy purchased through non-official channels, that’s not novo’s fault.
And if the pharmacy is going to order through non-official channels, then the pharmacy ought to send a sample to Peptide Testing or Janoshik.

from the first article, dated this month,
“The agency said it’s aware of six adverse event reports linked to the lot — however, none of them appear to be associated with the counterfeit product. The agency and Novo Nordisk are testing the fake products to identify whether they’re safe. Genuine Ozempic can come with side effects, including stomach problems, so it's not clear whether the adverse events were caused by typical use.”

From the click-thru news release,
“FDA and Novo Nordisk are testing the seized products and do not yet have information about the identity, quality or safety of these drugs.”

The first makes it sound as if it’s real Ozempic that’s been diverted, esp bc the 6 adverse events are from the *same lot* but, not “associated with the counterfeit product.”

Also, just how fucking long would/should it take the FDA and NN to identify what’s in those pens? Like, send it to Jano if your in-house labs are that gd slow.

The second is from 2023 when they seized a bunch of insulin marked as Ozempic.

I may count on my fingers, but as the (now old) saying goes, the math ain’t mathing. I welcome other readings bc I can only go over the same info so many times.
