I'm interested in trialing VIP and it sounds like a nasal spray is a better route than subq, but I've never made a spray and I'm having a tough time finding complete directions. I understand I should use an OTC sterile saline spray (not bac water) to reconstitute, and I can buy a snoot bottle with measured doses according to my needs. Could someone with experience help me with some other details?
  • I can just use the same VIP being sold in 3ml bottle kits, right? I read that GHK-Cu has different formulations for subq vs topical so just want to be sure that isn't typical, or at least doesn't apply here
  • Even starting with sterile saline it seems like sterility must be a little wobblier than peps prepped for injection. Do I just inject saline into the vial, then pull the reconstituted VIP out of the vial and squirt it in the non-sterile snoot bottle?
  • Related, what's the shelf life once reconstituted while in active use? Can I keep it in the fridge and use it daily for 30 days? Less, more?
I appreciate any and all wisdom about nasal sprays! TIA

i cant believe no one commented on this thread. im going to make a sleep spray with dsip and selank so i have the same questions lol. seen videos doing both ways with or without bac water. some people say it bothers the nose others dont mind it etc

Here is an intranasal calculator: https://peptidescalculator.com/intranasal-calculator

I use solution thats already meant to go in your nose but have only done this with Selank so I can't speak to other peptides (https://a.co/d/0cxTUK4C). I disinfect the nozzle after use and keep it in the fridge.

There are some videos on YouTube for the process if that's helpful.

Have fun!

So I've done a couple rounds of IN Epitalon and Semax following @Chili777 lead.

Here are a few things I've learned;

Get a good bottle. I like the Snoot bottles only downside is they are too big imo. My mom got some epitalon that came in smaller 10ml bottles that I took from her. They are great. I which I could find the source but since she won't buy from CN I will just continue to steal her old bottles. I bought some cheap 10ml ones that aren't good. And just got some 5ml ones that I haven't tried yet.

I'm using the following saline (I don't think the brand is that important I just like the individual sealed bottles. https://www.amazon.com/BASE-LABORATORIES-Saline-Solution-Vials/dp/B0CSH7LTB6

There are kinda big and they take some pressure to actually press down to activate the sprayer, too. But the have a measured 0.1 ml, so I use them. I need to do more research and see if there are better options.

I use Semax, Selank, VIP, and tried PT-141 before as well via a nasal spray. After reading many recommendations, here is the approach I take:

For a typical 10mg vial, I mix it with 8ml of sterile saline and 2 ml of BAC water. This proportion is light enough not to irritate my nose lining (I do not feel BAC at all at this proportion) but it adds just a little bit of anti-bacterial properties to make me feel comfortable about using it for several weeks, especially while sticking it into my nose every day. I keep the sprays in the fridge between uses. So far I had no bad experience with cloudy solution or anything nasty developing in the spray bottle. I use Snoot bottles from Amazon and I rinse them with 70% isopropyl when it gets empty before I make a new solution. I let it dry and I run some saline through the spray to clear any isopropyl from the tube/pump before making a new batch.

Use the nasal calculator to calculate the dosage and how much saline/bac you need to use.

Snoot! Bottles on Amazon. You use the same lyophilized peps and recon with sterile saline instead of BAC. You can get 5 or 10 mL ampules on Amazon also. It should last 30 days refrigerated. You just need to use a nasal recon calculator instead of SQ to get the required dosage. https://intranasal.peprecon.com/
How do you clean and sterilise the bottles and sprayers to reuse them, or is it a one time deal?

See my post above. Since intranasal is not SubQ and your nasal passages are well equipped to fight bacteria that is in the air your breath - you don't need to sterilize the container the same way as for subq. With that said, you do need to keep it clean and make sure nothing is growing in the solution you made. Here is what works for me after the bottle is empty and before I make a new batch:

1. Rinse the bottle with clean water (previously boiled water is fine). Make sure you do 10-20 pumps to rinse the tube/pump.
2. Empty the water and poor some isopropyl alcohol into the bottle. Shake it well. Do 10-20 pumps to make sure isopropyl goes through the pump parts as well.
3. Poor the liquid out and pump the spray a few times to clear the remaining.
4. Optional: let it dry.
5. Poor some saline in the container, shake well, and do 10-20 pumps to run it through the spray. This should wash out any remaining isopropyl alcohol from the container/spray, and you are now ready to make a new batch.

This works well for me.

Thanks for the detailed response. Much appreciated.
