I've been running tirz for about 9 months through an online pharmacy, it's expensive but I've got to my goal weight.

I got some grey market reta, looking to transition from one to the other for maintenance and maybe get the last couple of kg off but unsure how to go about, seen various differing opinions.

I've been doing 15mg tirz and I have 2 12.5 pens left (enough for 8 weeks) was planning on going to

12.5 tirz + 2 reta for 4 weeks
8 tirz and 4 reta for 4 weeks
4.5 tirz and 6/8 reta for 4 weeks
Then 8/10 reta for a bit and see how I get on from there?

Does anyone have any suggestions on a better way I should do this?

This was my aggressive titration, had been on others for more than a year. I did have some low blood sugars so if doing again would probably do 4 week intervals.

4mg X 2 weeks, then 6mg X 2 weeks, then 8mg X 2 weeks and then move up to 10mg. There is usually overfill, so the dose is slightly higher.

I don't seem to be able to post in any of the forums still so I'll put an update here for those that are interested.

I'm 2 jabs in currently running 12.5 tirz and 2 reta, appetite was up the first few days a lot more than I was expecting but I managed to keep it under control and not over eat.

I am now finding that while I'm still hungrier between meals I'm getting full on less food and struggling to finish my meals, not sure how much of this anecdotal or whether it's actually related though.

Yeah, I'm aware of the probationary period and restrictions around it. But not able to post properly yet.

Tirz has MUCH stronger hunger suppression than reta. However, even with an increased appetite, most folks will continue to drop weight with reta. I would go off of the scale measurements rather than just your appetite coming back. If you aren't losing weight, maybe stay on your current 12.5 of tirz as you slowly titrate up the reta.

My experience (18 months from 280 to 186lbs) is that reta and tirz are sufficiently different that you cannot predict what this schedule will look like.
It probably goes without saying but, it's a good idea to pay attention to how you feel and titrate accordingly.

For myself, while I still lean on it occasionally, I do experience rapid heartbeat and cannot tolerate more than 4mg in a week. (History of afib which will probably end up being a contraindication when it is approved, IMHO).

I'm on a high dose of tirzepatide and was hoping reta could do as much at a lower dose. I find that it is not as effective at shutting down food noise for me though, so I can't make it the centerpiece of my glp-1 program.

Ymmv.

Best luck.

I'm kind of happy with my weight where it is now, I mean I could drop another couple of kg and get the last bit off my hips but I got to where I wanted.

I'm also down to my last 2 tirz pens and it's so expensive I was hoping to not have to buy it again.

I have seen there are other peptides the people stack for appetite specifically, I'll be honest I haven't looked I to it too much l, I guess I'll wait and see how I get on in a couple of months.

I also have a history of afib and been trying to gather info here to see if anyone else has tried reta with afib rvr history and reading your post has given me some hope now.
I'll try a low dose reta on my next schedule and see how i feel

Your plan sounds pretty reasonable to me. I’ve seen others do a similar taper and it helps the body adjust better than switching cold. Just keep an eye on how you’re feeling, hon.
