I've been taking 15mg of Tirz for a few months and wanted to try stacking it with Reta from ZZT.
I was trying to be cautious and tried 2.5 of Reta and then another 2.5 the next day, but have not really felt any additional effects.
I have a cold right now, but other than that everything else is the same.
Has anyone else experienced this too? I'm aware everyone is different, but has anyone started with 10 mg of Reta right out of the gate?
I say this with love in my heart for you - this is a scary plan.
Reta and tirz are similar medications.
Tirzepatide works on GLP1 and GIP receptors, and
retatrutide works on those as well. The difference between the two is that reta also works on a third receptor, glucagon. You're not going to see the results you want from this, and you will very likely suffer ill effects. If you are dead set on stacking, adding
cagrillintide in place of the reta would be the most reasonable choice, as it affects amylin receptors and wouldn't be redundant.
If I were you, I'd listen to the advice of zppd and/or AndyPanda. Either raise your tirz (slowly and reasonably), or stop tirzepatide and switch to reta. I do not recommend following lullaby's plan. It is... not the best path forward.
All that said, it would benefit you to consider how much weight you have already lost, your current loss rate, and how much more you need to lose. Weight comes off much faster at the beginning of one's journey. After a few weeks or months, it is completely natural and normal for the rate to slow down, or to stall for a bit when you hit a
set point. Before going hog wild on all the injections, think about your diet and exercise regiment. Are you being honest with yourself about your calories in vs calories out? Are you tracking calories and weighing your food? If you are, great! If not, start. These meds aren't magic, and the laws of thermodynamics still apply. The meds are just a tool, but you are the craftsman. You have to put in the work, especially after you've been on your journey for a while.
Please be well.
