Acquired through a reputable seller. Unexpired, manufacturer Genotropin 12mg GoQuick Pen of somatropin. It has 12mg of somatropin which can be dialed in 0.3mg increments via the pen's dial. This was my first one. I've used insulin pens and manufacturer pens for other items, but this is my first experience with Genotropin.
For those who don't know, these pens come with two chambers in the cartridge pre-loaded with the lyophilized somatropin in one chamber and the reconstitution solution in the other chamber. There are markings on the cartridges which you twist from positions A to B to C to merge the two chambers and reconstitute the somatropin. Then, you attach a disposable insulin needle and prime the pen.
All of those steps worked fine, but, the dial itself won't click beyond the initial 0.3mg dose and the dial indicating those doses doesn't shift at all. So, either I'm only able to dose 0.3mg or the dial is actually going up and I can't see how much I'm exactly dosing. I think the latter is true because when I look at the markings on the chamber, it's already depleted a couple of MGs. That's getting really iffy because, if that's the case, it means I wouldn't really know how much was being dosed with each jab until I pull the pen out of my stomach and look at how much remains in the cartridge!
Naturally, I'm reaching out to the seller. But, meantime, was curious if anyone on here has experienced this? Is it a common manufacturer issue with these pens? Video demonstrating what I'm talking about here.
