Hi, happy to find this forum. I have been on GLPs since 2021. Could never consistently stay on them with the shortages and bounced back and forth between Wegovy and Zepbound for the first two years. My company then changed their guidelines for coverage and I was excluded last July (they raised the initial BMI to 32 instead of 30). I gained 2# a month eating the same, so I was up 8# and still not close to goal.
Then I found online reta thanks to a friend who is a bodybuilder. I am now on 4mg (I have done them all low and slow) and almost back to where I was last June with 10-15# to go around my stomach, waist and back, but the expense is keeping me from going up when I probably should. My BMI is still 25 and I would like to get down in the low 20s. I have had a ton of hormone issues since 2014, the last time I was at my normal weight, and this has been the only thing I have tried that has helped me lose after menopause and hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's.
I am noticing more food noise on reta than I had with either of the others, but less nausea. I have thought about adding a little tirzepatide to help with that but that would be an additional cost so as long as I'm losing on one, I think I will stick with it for now.
I would be interested in help finding a reputable vendor that does third-party testing and doesn't cost an arm and a leg if anyone can help. Thanks y'all and Go Hawks!
