Laser etched vials

Soooo, I have access to an epilog laser etching machine at work ands I wanted to etch these extra unmarked vials with info so I wouldn't get them mixed up in a few months when get to them. I tried it on an empty vial and the glass doesn't even get hot. I suppose I could just print some cheap labels with a label maker but this is cooler. I was wondering if anyone thinks that the brief exposure to intense light would hurt the lyophilized peptides within?

I reckon if it was fast and no UV it would be fine

I wouldn't risk it. UV light is incredibly damaging to organics. Basically it breaks molecular bonds, and the molecule you used to have is no longer the molecule you still have. For example, sunburn.

So, it seems very possible that it could damage the contents, and it will be hard to determine that it didn't damage the contents, so why risk it?
