Reta has been ordered. I managed to find a pre-fill pen (Synedica) from somewhere I felt comfortable buying from. I was going to go for the vials but couldn’t find a source I felt 100% with.

I have decided to start with 1mg.

Anyway before I get started a few questions to put my mind at ease.
1. I have a half marathon this Sunday, should I wait till Monday to take my first dose?

2. Calories, what are we eating to meet our macros. Mine will be 2k, with 180grams being protein. I think protein shakes will be my friend here.

3. What other supplements are you taking to support Reta and side effects (Not peptides)?

Is there anything I need to look out for? Is there something you wish you knew before you had started that you wished someone told you.

Your starting stats and goal could be handy. Half marathon is an interesting function before starting, around here.😂

1: Up to you, I pinned ASAP after getting my first Zepbound. No issues with sides.

2: I eat whatever, there’s a thread running. If you’re worried about protein vs volume, lean meat is a good choice. I’ve had 15?lb of protein powder in a couple months. Greek yogurt is good. In general I can eat whatever I ate before, if I want. Carbs matter for exertion.

3: PHGG fiber and HMB-FA. Not directly related, D3K2-7.

1. Yes or perhaps even later in the week once you have recovered

2. Protein good , agreed. However I just take as needed without over thinking . Keep it up but not stress. Reta helps with eating well , such as enjoying a salad rather than a burger and fries .

3. Avoid vitamin tablets or anything that would make you constipated in the days after your shot , at least until you're comfortable with regular pooping . I highly recommend psyllium husk , lots of it all the time .

I'd also start with a lower dose first up take half mg rather than one and then move up as needed . You will feel it . Not drastically but you should note the changes . This will help with side effects and moving up slowly is a good approach. First up I was planning on going similar to the phase 3 trials , but one I started I'm more comfortable with lower doses as I'm seeing good changes , I'll move up as needed. I expect I'll get to 8mg eventually but I'm in no rush.

Definitely wait. Just to be safe.

Worst case scenario could be hypoglycemia.

Or even runner's diarrhea powered by the GLP. But may take more like 48+ hours for lower GI symptoms.

As far as supplements, I take a number of them, but my favorite for GLPs is just electrolytes, which you are probably taking already. Taurine also comes to mind when I think about electrolytes (and is popular among the bros on steroids to prevent cramping, protect the heart, etc).

Wait. It might be better to be fully recovered before you put any additional stress on your system. By stress I mean something new. Good luck!

I would wait and not introduce a new variable if you're going to be analyzing how you felt and performed during and after the race.

Like someone else said, psyllium husk is a great addition and has helped keep me more regular.

Any will do , heath shops near me sell it by the 1kg bag . I grab that and also capsules, they are all the same or seem that way to me , so just I grab something that's reasonably priced.

I just mix a few spoons in water quick mix and swallow it quickly, tequila style . It's jellys up fast if you leave it in the glass , this quick stir and then swallow it straight away .

Start with a small amount of, then work up to whatever you feel is comfortable. I take a large glass with water in the morning and when I get home from work.

For pete's sake, don't take a new med you've never had right before you do an event you've trained for and are looking forward to! I roll my eyes when people are like "guys I'm so scared of sides it's been a week and I don't have the nerve to try it yet" (though I keep it to myself because don't be a crotchety old woman, randompersonrandom) but you'd be so disappointed to be running twelve miles with mild nausea.

good call. how was your event? how do you feel on the reta?
Finished 21km in 1:28:32, so happy with the time.

Good I have had some sensitive nipples. The appetite suppressant was real until Tuesday. But seems to have completely gone away now. I took a 2.5mg on Sunday evening. I was taking a pre made pen, so 2.5mg was my only option for starting dose.

Running a sub-90 minute half is impressive!

Are you sure you need to be on weight loss drugs? When I was running marathons and doing sub-90 minute times, I was shreaded and coudn't gain weight to save my life.

Oh I thought hard about this. My Bf % is 14.8, but I can’t shift that fat around my trunk. I have tried everything.

Not to mention the sugar cravings I was getting was insane.

I’m now taking a step back from the running, and focusing on the lifting.

Best activity hands down for trunk is kayaking, works your core hard faith the counter balance needed from tipping in , then upper body as the paddles you forward .

Probably only useful if you live in an area near a river or ocean that is good for kayaking. Very much a fitness intensive sport that's pushes you in different ways than can be achieved in a gym.

Funny you say that I use to kayak a couple a years ago and sold all my stuff. Just could not fit everything all in and would spend about an 1 hour prepping and travelling before getting into the water.

How is your experience going on the GLPs?
