Hey everyone! I’m Jessica, checking in from sunny Phoenix. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in the mid-1990s as a teen, so I’ve been managing it for quite a while, though it hasn’t always been a smooth ride.
During my 20s, I hit a rebellious streak and got pretty tired of the constant injections, carb tracking, and round-the-clock monitoring. After a couple of scary hypoglycemia episodes and early neuropathy warnings, I buckled down in my 30s. These days I’m much more on top of things, but I’m still human so late-night design deadlines and the occasional pizza can throw my routine off course.
I’m here to connect with people who really understand life with diabetes, share experiences, and pick up new tips, especially around the latest tech like CGMs (which didn’t even exist when I started!). Excited to chat and support one another through all the highs and lows.
