So I started reta 2 and a half weeks ago and I've already lost - 10kg, 22lbs.
I think I may have to start forcing food down me as this is working a bit too good I don't want to get in any trouble with gallstones etc.
Just haven't felt hungry at all and barely want to eat!

First, congrats on your weight loss !
But yes, you do need to eat not loose your muscles, fokus on protein, could be protein drinks.
When I didn't feel hungry at all, I did that and smoothies.

Yeah I've been trying to eat protein mostly.
To be fair today is the first day I've felt a little bit of hunger! Hopefully it balances out as I go along

Hey, I started reta a week ago (fairly small dosage 0.5mg) and I don't see any change, especially around appetite control. I do strength training 2/3 times a week and my BMI is not very high (26).
Just curious about your dosage.

I'm on week 3 now and haven't weighed myself since before I started 🙈

I'll do it after week 4 lol

You just started a week ago, give it some time🙂 Also titrate up slowly. Just because someone else starts with a higher dose or goes up with the amount quickly, doesn't mean you should do the same. You gotta figure out what works for your body. Keep training, watch your nutrition & be patient

Absolutely, my plan is to increase by 0.5 mg every 2 week, until I find the sweet spot

If you have not lost weight before , do not be disappointed if it slows down , you are going to lose a few kilos from water, as your body uses up stored glycogen that has water stuck to it. If it kept going at that rate , it would not be ideal anyway , rapid weight loss can lead to exhaustion and fainting and gallstones etc. Realistic maximum rate of fat loss is 1 to 1.5 kilos per week, ( 7700kcal to 11550kcal a week calorie deficit ) and depends a lot on how overweight you are at the start.

No stranger to losing weight or putting it on quickly 😂. I started at 146 kilos I'm now at 136.
So I'll probably lose a lot faster than most anyway because of my size.
Trying to focus on getting some protein in me as much as I can and I'll try up my fiber as well.
Also really need to get back to lifting otherwise I'm scared I'm going to lose all muscle

Good luck, I started at 145kg and lost exactly 6kg a month until I got to about 90kg. Started in 2022 and now using tirzepatide plus a bit of reta as well to help keep it off at 68kg. I think with these medications weight regain may no longer be inevitable.

Research shows that it typically takes about 4 weeks for GLPs to really get going. Be patient, read around the forum, it's a marathon, not a sprint.
