Just started Reta after originally starting on Wegovy when it first came out and then Munjaro, once it became available. After the first shot ive had a metallic taste in my mouth similar to when I've tried the Keto diet. I definitely also feel thirsty a lot more. I have been stalled on Trizeptide for more than a couple years. Looking forward to some results with Reta!

Was it during exercise by chance? I am aware that intense exercise can cause blood vessels in your airways to become irritated and bleed, causing the metal/blood taste. Or, maybe just a weird side effect. I wouldn’t worry either way. I’ve had it happen with B-Complex injections but never GLPs.

With the way the glucagon aspect works ...could be in ketosis depending on diet. Some say they need more carbs on reta to even out the blood sugar hit.

Not during exercise, it reminds me of when I've been in ketosis from dieting. Lots of great info and support on this Forum. First time for me hitting the grey market but it wasn't too bad overall. On my second week of Reta and no different side effects then I had on MJ. But I'm sure my body adjusted to that a long time ago.

I have to say I have suffered from a metallic taste ( as if you have licked a penny) but it was before I started GLP1’s and it may be related to acid reflux. Did you suffer from “ sulphur burps” much while on MJ? Again I didn’t mind that because I had issues before I started GLP1s.

I too had a long stall on tirz and swapped to Reta. Depending on your dose, it may be that you don’t see things moving until your dose gets a little higher. Nothing was happening for me on the scale below 6mg. But I felt my shape was changing, and because of this forum I knew to expect that. Still worth taking it slow to move up. 6mg is now working well and I have no intention of moving up while it is.

Also don’t expect the suppression to be the same as on tirz, it’s def there but it feels different ( to me anyway). Have you noticed that? I also found less side effects on Reta than I did on tirz. Everyone is different though.

Wishing you well for your second week

No Sulfur burps but i feel my MJ results and any side effects leveled out over a year ago for me. I'm slowly raising my doses of Reta as I reduce the Tirz. still no side effects other than the metallic taste. I'm looking forward to reaching that 6-8mg level to see what happens.

If I were you I'd test my ketones...just for science!
