Hello! I am in my 50s and have been overweight for 15 years and have tried and failed over this time period to get back to a healthy weight. Heart disease and other obesity related problems were real threats and I knew I really needed to make something happen.
I worked with a provider to start tirzepatide 7 weeks ago and it has exceeded all of my expectations. I am titrating up slowly with good effect and am coupling this with appropriate diet and exercise. I love being in full control of my eating, and in my health overall. I also did not expect to not miss alcohol. While I am losing weight as expected, I overall want to make this a long term journey of healthy habits and I am thankful to have found a tool to help me do that.
I still don’t know what maintenance will look like for me but I look forward to finding out. At this time I would be more than happy to be on this the rest of my life.
I have been voraciously reading about these peptides for weeks to find out what others are experiencing and came across this forum. It has been very helpful and informative and I hope to continue to learn, connect, and interact. Thanks to all that have contributed to make this a helpful site.
