Hi guys,

I recently purchased the peptide injector pen from PepPens and having difficulties in dispensing exact amount of liquid from it. I did a quick experiment by turning the knob to 10 unit , dispensed BAC water on a digital milligram scale. The water weight about 0.08 mg on the scale at 10 unit setting. i did a repeatability test at various setting, it was consistently off by 0.02 mg. For eg: I set the dial at 60 units and measured .581 mg.

I did the same test on an insulin syringe and the it dispensed exactly 0.1 mg at 10 unit setting. Any thoughts?

sounds close enough for (chinese) government work? :)

it sounds like you just need to give it one or two clicks?

Do you know the measurement uncertainty of your scale in the miligram measurement range? Also, I am not sure of the weight of BAC water with peps. Should a 10u volume weigh 10mg, I have no idea. If you are testing with water I am sure you can calculate the expected weight by volume but not sure about BAC.

I checked my pens by injecting into a water bottle cap (didn't want to waste a vial) and then sucked the expended water up with a insulin syringe. It was pretty much dead-on which surprised me from a cheap Ali pen.

Confirmed with the Google that 1ml weighs 1mg. I am sure the science types around here knew this already, but I can now chalk it up to "today I learned".
