Hi,

I've been studying the internal tests that were provided to me by Wendy. They show purity >= 98% and peptide assay 92.6%. I suspect that this is somewhat undesirable.

I'm pretty sure the range that I'd want is >=99% purity and a peptide assay >= 95%.

Are these numbers of 98 and 92.6 within the range of acceptable? I'm curious if experienced peptide researchers would use a vial with these stats.

Also, Janoshik doesn't report peptide assay. That seems strange to me. Why is this value omitted in their tests?

Thanks!

I was just asked by Vanguard if I want a purity test (2 days, $200) or an assay (5 days, $210). I came here to pose the question and I see you address it here. Did you ever get any more information?

I just received the below answer from Vanguard, I think I'll just go with purity test...

A purity test is what is typically done when testing peptides. If you're sending peptides and want to know the purity of the peptide, that is the test that you'll want. An assay is similar and is generally used for compounds that are a mixture of different compounds. For instance if you wanted to know the amount of a peptide that has been cut with a filler material in a capsule you would need an assay test.
