When I need something quickly and don't want to wait for the proverbial slow boat from China or just want to try a vial of something new and not an entire kit, I occasionally turn to a domestic vendor for fast processing and shipping. One of my go-to domestic vendors has been Simple Peptide. I've made three orders from them so far, and I have actually recommended them (including to my friends and co-workers) for their fast processing and shipping of orders and generally reasonable prices for a domestic vendor (other than Cain, of course). I have been churning through a lot of AOD because my girlfriend and I both use it.
Anyway, I ordered 6 vials of AOD. Upon reconstituting the first one, it had a large clump at the bottom that would not dissolve no matter how many times I swirled it around and no matter how many times I sucked it out and reinjected it into the vial. Having used AOD for months now and having ordered it from many different domestic and Chinese vendors, I am pretty familiar with its properties and how to avoid or resolve any gelling, if it does occur. So, I tried a second vial. Same result, initially, and after multiple efforts at dissolving the powder.
I contacted Alex from Simple Peptide, who, in my opinion, is far too chatty. Basically, I didn't want to argue about AOD and its properties and whatnot. This batch he is selling is caca, and there's no getting around that. We went back and forth for several messages, with him assuring me about how much he stands behind his product and does not even care about the money. Unlike him, I actually do care about the money, mostly, I suppose, because of the principle of the thing. And I don't want to keep discussing the issue endlessly and explaining that I do understand the peculiar nature of AOD and how to deal with it. At this point, I figured I may as well reconstitute the remaining 4 vials to see if they were bad, too. Three dissolved normally and did not gel, and the other vial was like the first two, with a big, undissolved clump clinging to the vial despite my best efforts to dislodge it and mix it up.
In any event, after going back and forth for days, Alex proposed that if I buy three more of his questionable vials of AOD, he will give me three vials for free. I don't mind the part about the three vials for free, but I don't want to buy three more vials of a batch that seems to have a 50 percent chance of being caca. To me, that is not standing behind your product. It also falls far short of this so-called guarantee on Simple Peptide's web site:
All products including opened vials have a full money back quality guarantee. Our reputation and our love of the Peptide Community are too important to us.
So, I am done with Simple Peptide, and I would suggest that anyone else who does not want to gamble on whether the product will be acceptable and, if not, whether a refund will be issued, to avoid them as well. I'm not thinking too highly of their reputation or feeling their love of the peptide community right now.
I wish Cain sold AOD. He would take some more of my money.
