Hi - my DH is just switching from Semaglutide 2.5mg dose. I was going to start at Reta at 2mg to monitor for HR response and then titrate up from there as needed for effective dose. How much BAC would you suggest using for a Reta 24mg vial?
Ideally, it will be a concentration that I will be able to easily pin when I start increasing dosage. TIA

Figure what the largest dose you could be using from this anticipated reconstitution and what the most units you would want to comfortably pin at that dose, reconstitute at that level, and then figure backwards to the number of units for your current dose.

If you’re using an insulin syringe, the simplest way to calculate is to use the formula:
Dose desired divided by dose on hand multiply by volume.
Example: dose desired X volume = 2mg X 1ml =0.203 ml
dose on hand 24mg
If you’re using an insulin syringe, you can round up to 0.21 or down to 0.2.

Hope this helps. It’s simple and can be done easily with your phone calculator.
