I donāt discourage anyone from filtering. If you have the patience and money to filter, by all means do so. For me, I donāt know how effective it really is when it is being done in a kitchen with a bunch of unsterile syringes and equipment, in an environment that probably has forced air and the cheapest air filters that you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot.
There is a risk of contamination with every ātouch.ā The first syringe is not sterile. The filter probably is not sterile, particularly if you buy them in bulk and they come in a jar. Then if you are injecting into a new vial, that could be contaminated, especially if you are bargain shopping on Amazon like we all love to do. Then there is a new needle and syringe that are not sterile. Assuming you cleaned everything at each step with alcohol, that is still 5-6 opportunities to pick up a bug before it even enters your body. Then there are dozens of other factors unique to each persons home like air quality, pets, children, and XYZ.
The cost adds up pretty quickly, reaching the level where if you have that kind of cash you could probably just go to a clinic and get a nice, refreshing infusion of non-UGL chemicals that are going straight through your veins.
Everyone has their own comfort level, skill level, and immune system. You need to decide what is best for your own health.
