I’ve been on Tirz since March, reconstituting my own since May (so about four months).
This is my second vial from this batch (bff/amo) I always reconstitute 30mg with 60units to make 6x 5mg doses at 10 units each.

While typing this and checking my supplies I realised that my hospira vials say “sterile water for injection”… my previous ones stated “bacteriostatic water”. Have I screwed myself here? I’ve taken one dose and it’s still burning. Have I totallly wasted 30mg?

Yes, possibly. You could filter it and had bac to it to stabilize it, stopping it from getting worst. UV? I do not remember any product you can add to kill bacteria, without destroying recon.

Sterile water is for single use. Once opened, its starts to deteriorate quickly (bacteria count goes up). Bac has benzyl alcohol, and is good for at least 28 days, and then helps preserve the recon. Without benzyl alcohol, the recon is deteriorating much faster, here also, bacteria.

I suggest fresh bac if you want to keep recon for 60+ days.
