“You feel safe injecting random Chinese substances into your body?”

A lot of people are saying "well it's better than...". Kind of like "its kinda dangerous but"... Honeslty, I think if you are doing all the smart things, veting sources, testing, filtering, Chineese peptides in general are pretty darn safe and the potential consequences tend to be on the low side.

If you are ordering from random Tic-Toc influencers thats another story, but done right, I don't feel like its a high risk activity at all.

Now some of the actual peps may have higher risks than others, but thats not really a Chineese sourcing issue.

You also have no problems taking medications, which were also most likely made in China, because some low-IQ, rote-learned person in a white coat said so.
IQ is something I've taken the time to investigate thoroughly. It's a valid metric... For something.

Let's first put aside the misinformation where third worlders get unreasonably bad scores – these tests often have cultural context or are based on English language comprehension, so there's a level of complexity to testing certain populations that was frequently ignored prior to the 2000's.

Raven's matrices, in theory, should be able to to get a read on most anyone's IQ. What's actually measured though... I'm not sure how it's applied.

I've tested friends, family, and myself with the test from communitypsychometrics, which is accurate to around ±10 points, and often underestimates capability by a few points. It also only works for English speakers.

The results were interesting. My IQ came in well above average, but was dwarfed by two individuals in my circle. One of whom used to huff gasoline, and is often wrongly perceived as "a little slow" because of his social capabilities. And another woman who is frequently captivated by political misinformation, fake news, MLMs, and doesn't seem to understand many types of reasoning. Not two people you would pick out for being the smartest in the room. Not two people that don't make mistakes.

I don't even know how this was relevant I just think personality and intelligence testing are fascinating and I wish I could test more people I know personally so that I'd have a better grip on what scores mean and where they apply 😅

I live in the Bay Area where not taking the vaccine was extremely rare... I asked how did that make you feel. “Dad, I was like fuck you, made me glad I didn’t get it, like I’m going to be pressured into getting it, fuck that”
Not to worry – all kids in the Bay Area talk like this! 😝

I think you hit the nail on the head. Well said. If you have the ability to conceptualize the risks and run them out to the end, the absolute worst case scenario is a trip to the hospital for some antibiotics or antihistamines – maybe you cause some reversible but long term damage to some system with endotoxins?

As opposed to the worst case scenario driving in rush hour traffic... Or of unmanaged obesity.

That would do more harm than good. Singling out one person would cause solution-fatigue amongst the masses.
Well said smiter. I understand the sentiment better than anyone, but that's a wild thing to say on the weight loss forum (from them). It's nice enough that we have the freedom to have the discussion we're having, let's not push it.
