I'm really trying to understand the if and and buts of group buying/testing of peptides....I love the idea of taking charge of my health without having to jump the hoops of established medicine-even though I worked in the field for decades...

I would be wary of jumping into GBs as a newbie and instead spend more time lurking the community and buying as an individual. There are scammers abound in these communities and I know somewhat recently a large group buy was a scammed out of quite a bit of money by a supposedly trusted individual.

Even if you aren't getting the absolute best price possible by avoiding GB's almost any reputable vendor you choose to purchase from individually will far outstrip your savings VS Lilly or compounded. Many vendors do regular sales (some of them call them "group buys" but theyre just sales) and discount the cost of popular peptides. Do your research, embed yourself in the community and it will pay off.

I Second this. Many of the group buys I have seen really don't offer much of a discount. A good sale from a vendor often beats their deals and there isn't always a MOQ for a product you are unsure about.
