Hi everyone,
I would like to know how to store the non-reconstituted powder. Should it be kept in the freezer or at room temperature?
Also, how long can the reconstituted product be stored in the refrigerator?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey,

They should be stored dry and protected from light. For short-term storage, they can usually be kept at room temperature in a cool, dry place.

For long-term storage, it’s best to keep unreconstituted peptides in a freezer (-20 °C or lower) to preserve stability.

When ready to use, allow the vial to reach room temperature before reconstituting. Once reconstituted, peptides should be refrigerated and are typically best discarded after 28 days, depending on the specific peptide and handling conditions. But I’ve been running mine after that time period and have been fine (when using good BAC water). But again depends on one’s personal preference and risk.

I have no issue with going 60 days on most. I don't think they go bad, i adjust dosage like 10% for degradation.

The now rule of thumb, from Peter Magic, Janoshik founder, is months at room temperature, years in the fridge and decades in the freezer. And if you practice good hygiene with your reconstituted peps, most can go 2+ months when refrigerated, although I've never needed over 2 months for my TS. Past the one month mark, you should look for cloudiness or precipitates (floaters) before use and toss the vial at the first sign of those. The quickest way to ruin your day is not pay attention to proper peotide hygiene.

The only peptide that I've found in my research that should be used within 30 days is Mots-C. It will start to degrade around 30 days even when refrigerated. There is a research study on the net that determined that timeframe, but it is the only one I found.

Like most things in life it depends.

Different peptides/compounds have different storage "requirements". GLP's are pretty robust , you could most likely keep them in a drawer for years and have almost no effect.

I would look into each compound individually for best results.

When it comes to the freezer, ehh, there is a lot of stuff out there that is misleading about freezing. If you start looking into what actual laboratories do and then see how the community has taken that advice and warped it you start to see the issues. There is plenty of real literature out on the internet on proper handling of peptides from actual researchers...like the real scientists and lab workers.

When it comes to reconstituted peptides in the refrigerator, well again it depends. Some compounds are pretty sensitive and as soon as they are reconstituted you are on the clock. GLP's though again are pretty robust. You are worried about bacterial growth with those not efficacy or potency issues.

Excellent response and that's what I go by. Since they've been in a warehouse generally 2 to 6 months they immediately get double zip locked with decissant (however it's spelled) packs, into a 2 gallon thermos and into a garage chest freezer. Constituted I'll pin up to 6 weeks, never went over a month. Bac I'll use up to 90 days. Reconned glutathione I use within a week and don't freeze hgh, tesa I froze not sure if I ruined it. Pharma manufacturer says never freeze it, folks say the generic gray you should which makes no sense if it's the same compound. ANYONE? Do you freeze your gray tesamorellin?

I've since found a newer study that shows that the degradation of Mots-C over 30 days is not supported and it loses potency roughly inline with other peptides. GLPs still have a superior shelf life compared to more simple peptides.

What are your thoughts on freezing a kit of hgh when received until recon time? Will it ruin it?

I don't use it, but everything I have read says that HGH in lysophilized form is like any other peptide and keeps well in the freezer.

The only issue is that once reconstituted, it should never be frozen as the thawing process would destroy the peptide chain and cause clumping (aggregation) making it unusable for our purposes.

Thank you guys, that was what I thought I understood from my reading but wanted to make sure before I learned the hard way lol!

I listened to a couple podcasts with Peter from Janoshik and the founder of Trustpointe Analytics...those were some of the most informative conversations regarding hard peptide science when it comes to storing, mixing and testing.
Can't recommend these podcasts enough...people can find them on YT

Yep, both on Pep Tok I think - both very illuminating.

Hey Chopper, I found this chart on another website relevant to your question with numbers to back it up. This shows degradation with freeze/thaw 4x and freeze and then thaw in the refrigerator.

Interesting, where is that from?
