So I decided to try my second vendor and choose APS( Andy's) customs. I saw that the package got sent back due to customs. They explained there was another package in the freight that had a prohibited item and they already have my order being rerouted. I've heard the custom horror story's of them taking globals and tsa precheck - not sure if its real or fear mongering- either way in that situation it wouldn't ding me for another package would it ? The vendor seemed to have favorable reviews so I'm not worried about gettung the package- just wondering if other has similar experiences in general.

I didn't have customs issues with their shipment but their delivery was EXTREMELY slow,a lot slower than another vendor I used on this forum. Just want you to be aware your order could take a while. They also claim good customer service, but I was the one who always had to chase them down and inquire about my order after the package hadn't arrived after a good amount of time.

What is "a good amount of time"? Some vendors have US warehouses and your order arrives quickly. If it's coming from China, you probably won't get tracking for around 4 days. I usually wait a week before inquiring, but I've waited up to 10 days for tracking. Then it can take quite a while in shipping. It's generally expected to wait a month before contacting them to say your order hasn't arrived.

About three weeks shipping time to a nearby Asian country. In that time or less, it could have been sent all the way to the States.

I decided to use them for my second vendor. Put my order in on Sunday. Still haven’t had tracking yet. I’m going to chase them up tomorrow I think as that will be the 4th day without the tracking. Don’t know if I was just spoilt by my first vendor being so quick and efficient 😂

Don't be surprised if your shipping is very very slow. You will likely be the one who has to chase them down, rather than them contacting you with regular updates proactively.

I did look into it, and it seems to be true. It can happen even with an an order from TEMU of fake goods.

Will a PO box address with something seized by customs impact renewal

I work for the agency, so yes we will seize it and get the consignee information. You will have a violation record for even a pair of sneakers and not be able to apply for 10 yrs. This program has strict rules to ensure the protection of the program and know that this population of travelers are legitimate travelers

Global Entry Revocations Rise; Many Travelers Face Unclear Reasons

  • Flagged packages from overseas retailers (for example, shoppers point to sites like Shein) might draw extra attention to accounts.

Had my recent package opened and examined by Customs (note was attached to package) and was cleared after I paid the tariff.

Was it peps?
This guy wasn't as lucky.

Package seized by customs

Had a gray package seized by customs. No seizure letter yet, but my global entry has already been revoked. Vendor offered to reship, but for various reasons I can’t take the risk.

What’s weird is the package was released from customs and made it all the way to my local depot, but then tracking just stopped updating. I even got an email to say it would be delivered the following day. The only thing I can think of is that it was detained post-customs prior to full seizure. Your packages are not safe until they’re in your hands.

This is just to remind everyone that the gray market is not without risk. It’s US vendors only for me from now on. Sigh.

How long after the customs intercept was it returned to the sender?

Seen this before, chicago was off limits for a month last year with a handful of vendors due to stepped up seizures. Idk if they were incorporating ai or training new personnel but everything went back to normal.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "Chicago was off limits."

That's an interesting claim about Chicago being off limits for a time period. How were the vendors actually enforcing that on the logistics end? Were they using forwarders to route packages through alternative ports before handing them off to domestic carriers? For example, my recent (missing) order from China to Chicago landed in ONT, not ORD or MDW.

They simply refused to take orders with a chicago address. They didnt say for 30 days. Im guessiing 3 plus weeks later they said we resumed accepting chicago orders.
