What is MOTS-c like?

At least with IM administration, there are cases of anaphylactic reactions to MOTS-c, but no fatalities so far that I know of. I know someone personally (tongue and throat swelling after 5 mg by IM, using a new vial/vendor with no such issues before). Also mentioned in passing at Meso:

A couple cases at Reddit, in a single thread:

More generally but publicly, two women almost died soon after being injected with peptides (which ones, I don't know) at a peptide festival of sorts:

long story short don't put these sub q peptides into your vein. Diligently do your research. And know at least a little bit what you are doing before injecting anything into your body.

I ran mots 5mg 3x/wk for 4 weeks. Was weird. I couldn’t tell if it was working or not until week 3 I noticed a clean energy. Wasn’t a pump or stim feeling, I could just go and go. With it taking that long, I was going to run it for 6 weeks but cut it short. End of February I’m going to run the whole mitochondrial protocol (ss31/mots/nad) as I’m 45 and have some miles on this body.

I also supplement l-citrulline (6-8g) daily before workouts, and l-carnitine (3g) daily. On top of a bunch of other stuff. Idk how it compares to those.. but I will say it’s a nice jump in constant energy, or is for me. Everybody has had different responses to lower and higher doses I’ve seen, but that’s what seems to have worked for me.

Thanks for replies.
I think, we have to make the difference between 'cases' and 'increased risk of serious adverse reactions'.
We have no idea what was in their vials, because it's not pharma.
But all medicine can give anafylaxis in rare cases, also Tirz , Reta, Sema.
It's on the list of rare side effects.
But of course be careful always.
I always do a small amount of any new kit vial before the full dose, just to see. 🙂

Amen to that. 🙂

Actually, I often forget to do the mots. ;-) So maybe it's two times per week.
Do you all cycle off at some point ? I see different opinions on that.

Putting any of these peptides directly into a vein is probably a very bad idea, maybe not quite as dangerous as street heroin. But a very tiny number of bacteria are required to start a very serious systemic infection if you inject them intravenously and usually if subcutaneous your immune system is going to cope. Peptides from china are nowhere near the standard of sterility required to be safe for IV use. Doing this with Mots c sounds like an amazingly bad idea.
Mots c would seem to be a much more likely than average peptide to cause anaphylaxis. Most people on this forum seem to get localised allergic reactions to it. And it is not a big step up in immune reaction to anaphylaxis. It is a peptide made inside your body , but made by a weird ancient bacteria that got stuck in our cells, and mitochondrial proteins are immunogenic. The levels of mots c present normally in your blood are very small, much much lower than levels generated by a dose of 5mg, which is possibly why it still has effects despite the likely low half life ( not ever actually tested in humans ), which is the case for a lot of peptides, except the GLP's as they have long fat molecules stuck onto them to stop them being rapidly degraded like normal GLP-1.

For anyone who has done one or more cycles of MOTS, do the benefits last after you stop the cycle?

My hope is that after repairing the mitochondria they stay repaired (assuming I take care of myself with appropriate diet and exercise)

I've been wondering the same thing. Also about ss-31; does the mitochondrial repair last after a cycle?

I am also doing the protocol by the end of February, wanna keep in touch to see what improves? I'm doing it for mainly some sort of insulin resistance.

good luck, I hope you find better results. do keep us updated x
I've pinned 5mg a few times now. Because of the short half life, I do it right before I walk into the gym to lift. And honestly, my endurance and strength are insanely improved. I've been at the how-am-I-gonna-get-through-this-today mode whenever I've been in the gym for some time. I pin 5mg MOTS-C and feel like I could run through a wall. I can lift heavier. More reps. My workouts have been considerably longer because I'm not out of steam where I used to be unable to go on. There does seem to be a slight diminishing returns thing where the fourth time around, it was still noticeable, but less so. But in fairness, my sleep has been limited crap. So that probably plays a big role too.

Anyway, just adding my evolving followup as promised. At least for me, it's damn good stuff. But I'm probably gonna be doing 3-4 times a week, and only pre-weightlifting. As much because of cost as anything.

On that note, I bought a 10-vial kit of the 10mg vials and skipped the 40mg. Damn I wish I'd gotten the 40s. Living and learning.

Would love to hear how it's continuing to go for the rest of ya.

Mots is a peptide that the body makes itself.
What do you mean by 'well-documented' ?
I think its very rare.
There are no peer reviewed reports on that and no case reports anywhere ?
Yes you can get vaso vagal reactions and get really unwell, and it does give local inflammation/local allergic reactions.
But you can get anaphylaxis of everything in theory, but that is all things you inject. (or eat etc)
I am more concerned about all the other stuff in the vial, the pH, the endotoxins, why it's important to filter, or wrong dosing etc.
I ignored that guy for some reason lol, no regrets 😅🤣😂

MOTS-c is great for endurance, especially for cardio. I don't do big doses, just 1mg per day 6x per week. ISRs are mild until I get to the end of the cycle/vial when they get progressively worse.

Thankfully I watched the Vigorous Steve video about his anaphylactic reaction before starting my cycle so I made sure to have an epipen available before my first dose. 😌

Yea I thought the same thing as far as dosing, seemed all over the place. I also planned to keep it to a 4-week cycle, so this had me kind of torn between starting low around 3-6mg/wk to dip a toe in, while at the same time thinking “ok if I’m only doing 4 weeks do I want to waste 1 or 2 of them at an ineffective or unnecessarily low dosage?”

My current thinking is to do a 4-week cycle working my way up to the right dose, start at either 2mg 3x/wk or 1mg 5x/week (on workout days) and titrate up from there. I figure that should help me find my personal sweet spot which I can just kick off at for my second cycle, assuming all goes well the first go-round.
Have you started your cycle yet? Just wondering how you went on the doses you spoke of and your experience. Would also be interested in your dose per kg, if possible. Cheers

Not yet, I’ve had to adjust and reschedule most of my plans, mots-c more likely on tap for May/June now. I do plan on starting some others sooner tho and plan to share/update my experiences with all of it when I finally do
