I’m new the the grey. If a supplier has the Janoshik test reports for the batch I’m interested in… is that good enough? Or should I still get my batch tested myself? I’m leaning toward more safe than sorry but curious what others do

I guess the question is how much can you trust their test report?
Is it really for the same batch or have the vendor just put the same batch number on?
Did they test several other vials that weren't as good and just therefore didnt publish the results?
How much quality control really is there between vials when they make this stuff anyway.

Think I will just take the vendor ones as a good starting point and would then get either my own tests done or like im planning at least be involved in group testing.

Even then unless you test every single vial you can never be 100% sure but gota stop somewhere.

For me, it depends on the vendor. Some are quite popular and have a lot of people and groups testing their batches. If there are a lot of tests being posted, I tend to be a lot less cautious. But it really comes down to how much money you are willing to spend vs your personal risk tolerance. I pretty much don't test anything myself anymore because it's a PITA and expensive.

Personally, I just grip it and rip it. Let my body do the filtering.

But everyone has different levels of risk taking.

I’m a big proponent of 3rd party testing. For most vendors, my concern is that they test from one batch then sell to you from another. That has literally happened in a group test I am currently running.

It's just dependent on your own risk tolerance. Mine is high, so I don't test. Not even when the supplier doesn't have a COA for the specific pep I'm using. I go by the "feelz" test. Mistakes can happen, but they are rare. Just like how grocery store food is sometimes contaminated with salmonella. I don't test all the food I buy, and neither do the manufacturers, until a certain number of consumers get sick.

It really depends on your risk tolerance. Personally, I only trust a vendor’s COA if I can review multiple third‑party group tests from the same vendor that consistently show favorable and reliable results
