UK BAC water in the UK - some vendor responses

I just found out that Herbilabs offer COA if you send them the Batch number: https://herbilabs.com/coa/

I already disposed of my vial, so I can't check this right now. Perhaps this is of interest to some because they sell it on Amazon.

This is a great find if the COAs check out and are ok. The website looks good if they are doing Janoshik testing of BA content, pH, sterility and endotoxins for each batch. There is a seller on Amazon UK that currently has 10ml bottles for £11.87 or £10.68 for subscribe and save.

If you go direct you can get 10x3ml vials for £39 delivered to the UK if you use a fee free method of payment.

£39 for 30ml of toilet bac??? I buy Hospira in the UK for under £13, or £5 a bottle from Canada in bulk.

Underground supply, R31NK, and vgpep.com all have it.

Thanks @mercutio , those are all great options for Hospira and should be pretty easy for people to get hold of at a reasonable price.

Shipping costs make this unattractive in continental Europe. Getting a 3ml vial for 9€ every few weeks is acceptable, its not like I need more of it.

You save all this money going grey and skimp on using known bac, not something thats been shown to be anything but bac?

I think both options could be useful in different scenarios. It's great we have some solid sources in the UK for the gold standard Hospira thanks to the contributions to the post. Some people may not feel comfortable going against Pfizer's recommendation not to use Hospira over 30 days once it's opened, even though there is plenty of evidence in the community that it is probably fine to do so. In those cases, if 3ml vials come with a COA you trust then it may be a useful option based on your risk tolerance. We all know Hospira is the best, but having other options if international shipping, lead times, customs risk, and cost is not for you then I think it's great we may have some other alternatives.

Thats the point, they aren't alternatives. COAs are worthless and vendor/amazon bac has tested to be atrocious sometimes. Best case, ruin the vial, worst case....your health. Get Hospira and use it over the 28 days.

Well if you believe Peter Magic BAC water is a waste of time anyway, and may actually pose more risks than benefits so maybe we have all just drunk the Kool-Aid?

No, I don't agree with what he says there. Universal standard for multi-dose is BAC.

That's probably the same kind of trust you'd place when you buy a white powder for research from a stranger and then believe the seller that the powder is what they said it was.

It could be something completely different, and then bad bac would be the least of your problems.

That's why I test all my white powders.

Are you testing it yourself or sending it in for testing? If you sent in every single vial, it would be expensive and you wouldn't have anything left for research. 😉
If you testing it yourself than. 👍

I have just checked the Janoshik COA for my new Herbilabs vial. The values are looking good:
  • Endotoxin 0.131 EU/ml. (extremely low, far under the 5 EU/kg guideline for adults)
  • pH 6.56 (should be between 5-7)
  • Benzyl Alcohol 8.53 mg/ml (very close to 9mg)
  • sterility TAMC + TYMC: pass
This is of course not as strong as a non-vendor provided test, but for me its enough.

I try to stick to the bac approved for use on humans.

I don't understand why bacterostatic water has to be so expensive, like it's literally some benzyl alcohol in water, that's it. There should be sellers easily able to sell 100ml of it for like £5. Instead we're paying £10 for a 3ml vial.

Not really, just mix up your own bac water ... its not hard
^This.
Sterile water for injections (pharma grade) is very cheap and easy to obtain and so is benzyl alcohol.
I've bought a 500ml bottle of (Braun) sterile water for injections for €7,- and a 1000ml bottle of benzyl alcohol for ~€15.

The reason BAC water is expensive is because it is a regulated substance in a lot of places. Meaning you can only get it officially through a doctor/pharmacy.

From the manufacturer's description:

"The bottle is for single use only. Any remaining solution must be disposed of."

How long do you actually use a 500ml bottle?

I don't think the water is really clean anymore after a few months of use.

I first add the benzyl alcohol to the 500ml bottle and then redistribute the solution into 20ml vials.
